[UPDATE 2:31 p.m.] Structure Fire in Rio Dell
A kitchen fire that has also crept into the attic sent firefighters scrambling to a home on the 100 block of Bellview Road in Rio Dell about 2 p.m.
Occupants are out of the home as of 2:10 p.m. and firefighters are dealing with the situation.

UPDATE 2:31 p.m.: The fire is in mop up stage. The Incident Commander. estimates the mop up will take about 90 minutes.

Glad it wasn’t worse but how unfortunate for them. Kitchen fires are especially common this time of year. Firefighters worked quickly. Much respect and be safe.
