1 Hospitalization, 4 New Cases Reported

public information

A CDC computer rendering of SARS-CoV-2

Press release from Humboldt County Public Health:

Humboldt County Public Health reported today the hospitalization of a resident in their 60s due to COVID-19. Four new cases were also reported, and nine cases were removed from the case count as they were determined to be from another jurisdiction, previously reported or not a COVID-19 case. The total number of residents who have tested positive for the virus in the county is 9,225.

An advisory committee of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) voted today to recommend emergency use authorization of the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years old. Next week an advisory panel for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will meet to review and discuss the recommendations. More details will be released as they become available.

With many annual Halloween festivities scheduled this weekend, the CDC has provided tips for celebrating the holiday safely this year through wearing masks, celebrating outdoors and avoiding crowds.

  • Trick-or treating in small groups and other outdoor activities like pumpkin patches and hayrides are preferable to indoor activities such as crowded parties or haunted houses.
  • Masks should be worn when handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. Tables can be set up outdoors to hand out individually wrapped candy. Keep interactions brief, and have hand-sanitizer available.

To view holiday and gatherings guidance from the CDC and Humboldt County Public Health, visit the cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/ and Humboldt County guidance for gatherings and events pages.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) recommended that all eligible residents who are at increased risk for hospitalization and severe COVID-19 disease should get a Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson booster, which are all available. For more information about the state’s booster recommendations and guidance, read the COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Questions & Answers page.

Boosters are being offered at all Public Health vaccination clinics. Appointments are not required but are recommended due to an increase in demand for additional doses and boosters. Sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov. For instructions in English and Spanish on how to use My Turn, go to humboldtgov.org/VaccineInfo.

Vaccines are widely available at local pharmacies. To check the availability of a specific vaccine or booster, visit the vaccines.gov page, or text a ZIP code to 438829 to locate a nearby pharmacy offering vaccines.

Public Health officials are recommending residents, particularly those who are unvaccinated, to get tested if they are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus. Testing is available through OptumServe seven days a week at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka and at mobile sites throughout the county most weekdays. For more information about testing, go to humboldtgov.org/covidtestregistration.

Due to the increasing use of at-home tests for COVID-19, Public Health recommends residents report positive test results so transmission of the virus in the community can be better identified and people can be connected with needed resources.

Those with a positive at-home test for COVID-19 should isolate and notify their close contacts to limit the spread of disease. False positive test results are unlikely when an antigen test is used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, according to the CDC’s antigen testing guidance page. Public Health officials stress that positive at-home test results should be reported to a health care provider or to Public Health if there is no provider.

Individuals who require documentation of test results for employment or travel may get PCR testing through Public Health or their health care providers. PCR follow-up testing for an at-home rapid test is most accurate 24 to 48 hours after an initial at-home positive test. For more information, visit the Humboldt County Home-Testing FAQ, or call the Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000.

The county’s vaccination and testing services are available free of charge. Residents who receive their first or second dose of vaccine at a Public Health office in Eureka, Willow Creek or Garberville can choose a $25 Renner Petroleum or Coming Attractions Theatres gift card. Incentives are offered on a first-come, first-served basis at those locations only.

Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive,” White Coat Waste said

Who are your investigators? How about a link to a reputable source that proves Fauci personally had anything to do with this. Sounds like Qanon bullshit. And what does this supposed atrocity have do with Covid. I see Russia seems to think this pandemic is real as they are considering going back into lockdown again with their latest serge.

Well Dave, who controls MSM?

It’s corporate controlled over 96% of all media.

Like many who are fed up with the corporate food supply, especially it’s treatment of domesticated livestock and the processing plants for large scale consumption, the media is NO LONGER HEALTHY FOR OUR WELL BEING.

Conspiracists, especially anti government conspiracists, rely on what other people tell them. They only repeat what others say, having never been a part if the conspiracies they claim to know exist. So maybe that’s why they are so persistent in ad hominem attacks- they think that discrediting an individual is proving whatever the person says has been proven wrong.

The nice thing about science is that at most levels, what a person says can be verified from basic research. 99% of the time it is not necessary to rely on anyone’s word. It can be checked. That is what people mean that say “trust the science.” It is not necessary to trust Fauci at all. Trusting Fauci and science are not the same thing however conspiracists confuse it.

I was linking from phone so it was janky. You can find the same story in other mainstream sources not just Fox. And yes legislators from BOTH parties are very concerned about Fauci’s role. THAT is the investigation. You sound like a Fauci-Or-Die believer throwing up objections over people asking legitimate questions over grave concerns. How about his insistence that zero funds were spent on gain-of-function studies but last week that was found to be untrue? Oh yeah- they buried that story last week because Must-Blindly-Trust-Fauci-In-Everything fanaticism…

Fire Fauci? 46% Of Voters Want COVID-19 Expert to ResignWednesday, October 27, 2021
Nearly half of voters believe Dr. Anthony Fauci lied about U.S. funding for “gain-of-function” research, and a plurality think the government’s top COVID-19 expert should be forced to resign.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 33% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Fauci has told the truth about U.S. government funding for gain-of-function virus research. That’s a decline from June, when 40% believed Fauci had told the truth. Forty-nine percent (49%) now say Fauci hasn’t told the truth about funding gain-of-function research. Nineteen percent (19%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

First no one should be comfortable with deciding what is the truth of a matter based on polls. Heaven knows that enough people here adamantly repeat nonsense to make it clear. Being in a herd may be comforting for some but it certainly does not mean much in terms of knowledge. And a public political polling publisher with an agenda is no measure of even that poor idea. They tend to phrase their questions in ways to get the answers they want. Rasmussen Reports is notorious for doing just that.

Then this “gain of function” debate of Rand Paul’s is based on his idea that any change in the DNA of a virus is a gain in function because it might lead to an increased danger. Fauci’s is that “gain of function” means improving the virus to make it better at infecting. It is a difference in philosophy that Fauci believes that unless science understands the way a virus could change, it will never be able to deal with it when it naturally occurs. So he thinks that marking a change to study it is valid science, not gain of function. Since Rand Paul has this different definition, he calls Fauci a liar when he said the NIH never funded gain of function research. Fauci’s is that researching something that viruses already do is not gain of function. It such science dangerous. Probably. Is Fauci right that being unprepared is no guarantee of safety. Also true. But that doesn’t mean, as conspiracists here obsess over, that it was a deliberate attempt to increase virulence.

In 2019, more than 19 million people — nearly 8 percent of adults in the United States — had at least one episode of depression, and at least half that number were diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, according to federal data. Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel and can lead to suicide. Not just talking the blues here. And your right we have all done crazy things at least once, even on here😀

No. Because now they are saying ALL children MUST get shot with the vax when children don’t even get covid. Sorry- it IS political and extremists are on both sides manipulating the story for their own ends. FOUR new cases IS great. But the great news will not stop the true Fauci believers who insist we all give up our children to the “great cause” they have decided.

First children certainly do get covid and no one knows the damage that it might do even if they don’t appear to get sick. It’s not just vaccinces that have had no long term study. Neither has the virus itself and it certainly has given more evidence of long lasting damage than the vaccines. Then it’s not “ALL” children. Just children that are going to the congregate setting of school where disease spreads easily.

You are right that it is political and extremists on both sides are manipulating the story. However that idea includes people who are against mandates as well as people who are for them. It is a tricky idea to extort vaccination by threatening loss of jobs or schooling. It probably would never have reached this point except for the irrational spew of anti vaxxers and assorted conspiracists. Enough people would cooperate if they weren’t being constantly made fearful that those who refuse for sensible reasons could have been tolerated. Most politicians, despite the anti government rants, would rather not go there. But what option do they really have when presented with such irrational reasons for refusing such as given by the people here? Magnetic arms, zombie DNA manipulation, swollen cojones, Agenda 21… Anti vaxxers are as responsible for the mess as any pro vaxxer. More so. They will not be rational or reasonable.

Every wave gets bigger, after the last one gets smaller.

How many times have anti vaxxers and Covid deniars said “it’s over”?

For instance, even in a State where free and safe Covid vaccines are available – the death toll in Florida is still outpacing each prior wave in magnitudes.

Many Republican leaders are normalizing excessive deaths via other peoples coughing through their disinterest of mandates.

I find that to be quite silly.

Unethical human experimentation in the United StatesFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 2004, University of Minnesota research participant Dan Markingson died by suicide while enrolled in an industry-sponsored pharmaceutical trial comparing three FDA-approved atypical antipsychotics: Seroquel (quetiapine), Zyprexa (olanzapine), and Risperdal (risperidone). Writing on the circumstances surrounding Markingson’s death in the study, which was designed and funded by Seroquel manufacturer AstraZeneca, University of Minnesota Professor of Bioethics Carl Elliott noted that Markingson was enrolled in the study against the wishes of his mother, Mary Weiss, and that he was forced to choose between enrolling in the study or being involuntarily committed to a state mental institution.[168] Further investigation revealed financial ties to AstraZeneca by Markingson’s psychiatrist, Dr. Stephen C. Olson, oversights and biases in AstraZeneca’s trial design, and the inadequacy of university Institutional Review Board (IRB) protections for research subjects.[169] A 2005 FDA investigation cleared the university. Nonetheless, controversy around the case has continued. A Mother Jones article[170] resulted in a group of university faculty members sending a public letter to the university Board of Regents urging an external investigation into Markingson’s death.[171]

Yes. It does matter what is being studied. And how and who and when. Anti vaxxers delight in the idea they have made vaccination impossible by insisting the vaccines are “experimental” because long term studies didn’t exist and, when the government finally approved it, adding that it is immoral to do the studies they demand. They are so insincerity in their statements that I’d clear that their goal is to frustrate the existence of vaccines. They are not one bit interested in improving them.

“I asked for 10 names, not 100. I shouldn’t have to wait this long. Tell you what, try 5.”
I have a life. I don’t sit at my computer all day, every day, arguing w trolls. There are 17 THOUSAND human beings, with names, 7800 in the USA reported DEAD, many of whom meet the Bradford Hill criteria which you are completely unfamiliar with, NO DOUBT! The vaccine is NOT innocent until proven guilty; this is NOT the US justice system. The standard in the medical profession is that the onus is on YOU, to prove that the vaccine is safe. Until then, the presumption of guilt (not safe) remains on the vaccine.

Given the 5 THOUSAND fold increase in reported deaths from Covid “vaccines” vs ALL OTHER VACCINES COMBINED in any given average year (USA ALONE), only a fucking imbecile could conclude these numbers meaningless, EVEN IF HALF were outright lies! If you’re sincerely interested (you are not), then go look up a fuckin name; THEY’RE EVERYWHERE. You’ve obviously got plenty of free time; start with the innocent 15 yr old BOY in Santa Rosa.

Wiki idiots?

Pharmacological research
At Harvard University, in the late 1940s, researchers began performing experiments in which they tested diethylstilbestrol, a synthetic estrogen, on pregnant women at the Lying-In Hospital of the University of Chicago. The women experienced an abnormally high number of miscarriages and babies with low birth weight (LBW). None of the women were told that they were being experimented on.[167]
In 1962, researchers at the Laurel Children’s Center in Maryland tested experimental acne medications on children. They continued their tests even after half of the children developed severe liver damage from the medications.[89]

Its true.

The Tuskegee syphilis experiments have nowhere near the ramifications of the potential for disastrous unknown consequences that the Covid19 vaccinations represent.

If the Covid19 vaccination experiment goes south, it will make the Tuskegee syphilis experiments look like child’s play.

The Fauci funded gain of function experiments in Wuhan already appear to have done so, although that may have all been part of a plausible deniability cover up for a virus that had already escaped in America.

It’s called shifting blame.

That would microscopically dwarf the Tuskegee syphilis experiments from a standpoint in their diabolical nature.

It’s more stupid to distrust just because the government participates. As the person who did not get polio says. Or the ones who routinely rely on various governments for clean water, traffic regulation, air plane travel, put their money in banks, fire fighting, etc. Occasional failures are human but at least government gives some power to those who would individually have no power. For good as well as bad. The point should be to prefect the process, not eliminate it. Anti vaxxers are the epitome of human failure that wants to drag everything down with it.

This is the first article I’ve seen from MSM reporting ER’s are seeing patients sicker than ever before and NOT due to Covid. Among the reports are rashes, blood clots, paralysis, cardiac… every reason under the Sun except the vaccine

ERs are now swamped with seriously ill patients — but many don’t even have COVID”

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/10/26/1046432435/ers-are-now-swamped-with-seriously-ill-patients-but-most-dont-even-have-covid

Just as planned, and right on schedule. This winter is going to be brutal. That’s when everyone will be forced to recognize what is happening, and this house of cards collapses. Can you even imagine the outrage there will be when everyone discovers the truth?

Well it won’t be conspiracists that discover “the truth”. Did you not see the parts of your own linked articles as to why this is happening? “Terrified of contracting COVID-19, people who were sick with other things did their best to stay away from hospitals. ” It was the disease itself that did it. Of course conspiracists will say someone planned that by hyping fear in the media. But the reality is, that until vaccinces gave people a way to avoid getting so sick, the disease itself was a danger with much unknown about it that was overwhelming hospitals all by itself.

So some 5000 deaths from getting vaccinated is acceptable? But 500 deaths in the 0-17 age group isn’t accepted in a longer period? You people pushing drugs make zero sense . But people selling the drugs make all the cents .

Even if your figures for vaccine related deaths are right, it would be 5000 out of millions and millions having been vaccinated and none of them were age 0-17. What is your point?

What’s my point? It should be clear, 5000 out of millions is acceptable, 500 out of millions isn’t acceptable, drug them kids now, because this generation can’t live without drugs. More drugs equals better quality of life, crack me up.

Nooooo, left wing tyrants determining what “truth” is great for society. Like Twitter banning people for mentioning natural immunity or Ivermectin. That’s awesome. So nice to see Kym following suit, banning “disinformation” and letting out her inner authoritarian.

Trickle down corporate clown show. NYT reported that Fauci stated in a phone interview that he changed his public stance on vaccination need for herd immunity on “science and a gut feeling”.

Good enough for me, based on that reasoning every single American who distrusts this clown due to a gut feeling is vindicated.

Florida’s Covid death numbers, as case counts become less and less important to me.

In all of 2020 — before vaccines essentially eliminated the risk of death for most recipients — 23,384 Floridians died of COVID-19.

Now nearly as many — 21,000 and counting — have died in the past four months alone.

And another 135 Floridians are still dying, on average, every single day.

…….

Florida’s peak daily COVID death rate was 2.5 times higher than California’s last summer — and nearly six times higher this summer. It doesn’t explain why California fell about 10 places on the state-by-state list of cumulative death rates at the same time Florida climbed nearly 20.

And it doesn’t explain why whatever price Californians paid this summer — no lockdowns, no business closures, no shuttered classrooms, no official curbs on indoor drinking or dining; just masks and tests in school and masks and vaccinations at some indoor businesses — was less acceptable than the price tens of thousands of Floridians paid when they lost their lives.

Oh you don’t care about case counts anymore? What about all those people getting LONG COVID ? Yesterday california racked up over 17000 new cases and over 100 deaths while Florida had 2000 new cases and Zero deaths.

Funny how you decided not to care about case counts as soon as the tables turned, some of us realized that deaths and hospitalizations were the only metric that mattered from the beginning.

…some of us realized that deaths and hospitalizations were the only metric that mattered from the beginning.

That would have been, and was, the stupidest thing to do in an emerging viral pandemic before any treatments or vaccines were produced.

But a lot of you have been fucking this up since day 0.

No.

Cases are less important to me because the vaccinated can carry on, while the others don’t as much.

I’ll bet you a lot of money there is a majority demographic in the 140 FL deaths EVERYDAY this week.

I’ll bet you many didn’t care about Covid, like you.

Guess how much that bothers me.

Just wait until it gets put in the water supplies, they already add fluoride to water for the 8 % that goes in people’s mouths, and every other orifice.

Fluoridated lawns, trees, oceans. ..

Sounds like a way to disperse a toxic chemical to me.

This Non stop Covid booster bullshit is like being married to a sociopath. Lose lose, but the only thing you can do is keep lying to yourself, day after day.

Whatever you do, just keep trying to appease an unhealthy operating system.

Or wake the fuck up and get out of an abusive relationship
