Man Reported to Have Hidden Drugs and Fled Scene of Crash South of Hopland
About 12:20 p.m., a vehicle went off Hwy 101 near the Green Bridge south of Hopland and struck a tree, according to first reports from the scene.
A witness told the emergency call center that a bumper and vehicle debris were in the roadway.
The Incident Commander at the scene reported to dispatch that the vehicle was unoccupied when they arrived on scene. He told dispatch that witnesses say that that a young Hispanic male fled southbound and may have been hiding contraband prior to fleeing.
