[UPDATE 4:39 p.m.] Don’t Tell the Cookie Monster but…A Truck With 9000 Pounds of Cookies Is Stuck on Hwy 36

Cookie Monster

Stock image from here.

About 1:40 p.m. a semi carrying 9000 pounds of cookies got stuck on Hwy 36 east of Bridgeville and west of Buck Mountain. The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page reports that the truck jackknifed in a hairpin turn.

No one was injured according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. One way controlled traffic is in effect through the area and traffic is moving very slowly, according to Caltrans QuickMap.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

UPDATE 4:39 p.m.: Caltrans QuickMap shows that the road is mostly clear and the traffic is moving close to normal again.

Too late. All the mountain cookie monsters are surrounding the truck as we speak. President Biden is going to tell everyone gathered there that he has being riding that truck for 36 years as Vice President of United States. He will be passing out cookies after his short speech. No masks are required for the cookie eaters.

What is really hard to figure out is what in the hell is a truck doing on 36 with 9,000 pounds of cookies? No stores along the way to sell all those to. Makes me wonder what is inside the cookies, meth, pot, etc.

Incidents like this is why they have a SIGN In Alton at the Junction of 101 & 36 saying basically NO BIG RIGS seldom does anyone actually pay attention such as the driver of this one!!!!

So what I don’t understand is how you can get a license to drive a big rig when you can’t read!

Ah man. I would’ve totally called off work to go, uhmm, help. With a full cup o’ coffee, of course. How do I sign up for notifications like this?

Sigh . . . I need a cookie!
