Damn! Don’t know who’s fault it is but rain slick roads, high winds. Be extra cautious out there. Especially on a bike, wear high visible clothes and wear a helmet. And drivers please be aware of people on bikes. 1. The law requires a driver passing a bike to give at least 3 feet of clearance between any part of the vehicle and any part of the bike or the person riding it. 2. Where 3 feet of clearance isn’t available due to road or traffic conditions, the driver must slow down and pass only when it’s safe to do so

But remember DO NOT cross a double yellow to give a bicyclists room. Super dangerous. Wait until safe to pass.

I don’t know if I’m surprised more by how many, or how few, people know about the 3 foot law. I suppose it’s relative to how many, or how few, care.

Didn’t that come about because of, or at least shortly after, a woman was hit by a truck mirror on one of the Samoa bridges a few years back?

I drove by up the hill right after it happened, ambulance, fire truck multiple LEOs arriving. It was misty but not really raining with good visibility. I think it’s more related to speeding than the weather. Hope she’s okay.
