REMINDER: Mateel Hosting Halloween Masquerade Ball on October 30th

The Mateel Community Center presents the Halloween Masquerade Ball Saturday, October 30th with string band Hot Buttered Rum from San Francisco. The doors open at 7pm with local favorites, Twango followed by The Absynth Quartet. Tickets are on sale now for $25 in advance through Eventbrite. Tickets are available locally at Redway Liquors in Redway, Blue Moon Gifts in Garberville, People’s Records in Arcata & Wildberries in Arcata.
Proof of vaccinations or a negative Covid test within 24 hours of the event is required for entry. Covid tests will be available at the event for a fee. All state and local Covid-19 guidelines will be followed, including the indoor mask mandate. Please incorporate a mask into your costume if possible, as masks covering nose and mouth will be required for everyone while indoors.
Tickets are $30 at the door. A costume contest with prizes for the best costumes will be featured, a full bar and Halloween treats will be available for purchase. Children 12 and under are offered free entry, provided they meet the Covid-related requirements for entry.

Why bother? The self appointed “health” freaks,( not to be confused with actual health freaks,) are now making it their business to police your “vaccine” status. (Not to be confused with actual vaccine status.)
Instead of fake Dead tickets the hot thing now is fake vaccination cards.
