Press release from Humboldt Social:

Humboldt Social, a California hospitality and cannabis group, announced today the launch of its daily cannabis delivery service to its hotels beginning this month. Delivery will be available at the newly opened Scotia Lodge, a boutique cannabis-friendly hotel nestled between the Redwoods and more cannabis farms than anywhere else in the world, as well as its sister property, Humboldt Bay Social Club. The service will offer guests a unique approach to safely obtaining and consuming cannabis without leaving either hotel. Humboldt County local dispensary chain and delivery service, Proper Wellness, will be delivering the cannabis daily through its operating platform with Dutchie.

All cannabis offerings will be provided by Social Nature, Humboldt Social’s in-house brand. Social Nature products are made with cannabis harvested from three women-led farms in Humboldt County, including Sunrise Mountain Farms, Dewpoint, and Emerald Queen Farms. The delivery service will feature a curated menu with various cannabis options such as pre-rolls, vape pens, tinctures, intimate oil, edibles, flower, gummies, chocolates and more. Visitors and locals alike can leisurely relax, socialize with friends and family, and consume cannabis at both property’s outdoor spaces.

About Humboldt Social
Humboldt Social is a Humboldt County based hospitality group with a mission to normalize connections between hospitality and cannabis. Co-Founders Amy and Jon O’Connor saw a need to integrate cannabis in hospitality, which eventually led to the conception of the Humboldt Social brand which now consists of boutique hotels, waterfront cabins, restaurants, and bars with connections to “Social” dispensaries and a Cannabis brand ‘Social Nature’. The design aesthetic highlights the history and beauty of the North Coast, with an emphasis on reclaimed materials, vintage furnishings, and lots of natural light. All the spaces are designed to be welcoming and low-key retreats from daily life. For more information, visit www.humboldt-social.com and follow us on InstagramFacebook, and Pinterest

Smoking is nasty, and bad for your lungs.

They should hand out infused gummies instead…

It will probably be good for business though, when the guests smoke a number and they are too high to leave…

“Ah yessssss, room, what was it again, oh yeah, 420, we gotta extend our reservation until, er, next Tuesday or so… And send up another one of those “lady-grown” hash-oil doobies, a plate of mac-nut-choc-chip-raisin and cranberry cookies, and a six-pack of coke”…

I sincerely hope I don’t see you anywhere at all…

Not even here!

We would be much better off without your silly and incendiary statements!

Your hostility is showing again, so thanks for representing your county and it’s varied industries…

Why would you suggest they ingest cannabis? I thought you hated the stuff. Scourge of northern California and all. Maybe they should shoot up some vaccines instead. Give em a hot shot of Pfizer, followed by a mellow moderna dose and a good old – one and done – j&j for dessert. I mean, if one vaccine works, I should get them all; don’t you think?

I had to think for a while about this:

Why would you all sell substance abuse with recreational tourism?

What is the biggest challenge in Humboldt?

Drug abuse? Environmental degradation? Overuse of water to grow a large amount of plants with questionable value? Greed? Obstinance and public displays of insanity over healthcare and governmental edicts?

One of the most beautiful areas of California, and you want to gum it all up with drugs and social problems, even above the fallout from the drug industry!

So yes, if they just gotta get high, make it easy for them to score without leaving the room, just like from all the delivery services in SF and the Bay Area, spreading intoxication over the internet via UBER straight to the users…

Back in 1973, when you couldn’t even score Mexican between April and October, we learned to buy a quarter-pound when we could, to get by…

Now, it’s legal, and you can get through security with up to an ounce, and fly anywhere!

Amazing times, and now I can get all I would ever need, I don’t even want any!

Maybe I would take one 5mg “gummie” every once in a while, but, it’s a nasty habit, just like tobacco… Besides, I got responsibilities, and, I don’t want to miss anything because I’m stoned…

So yeah, go get high, enjoy life, and if you forget where your car is, or where your kids are, that’s that damn Kush from Humboldt, and you picked up the nasty habit, at that Hotel, where the first one is free…

Well if you read the press release they are offering lots of topical and edible options.

And your commentary makes it very clear that you don’t have a lot of experience with cannabis.

Also, why don’t you just leave us alone. The north coast has a unique culture that doesn’t generally appreciate government intervention and really likes weed. If you don’t like those things you’ve got just about everywhere else in the world to enjoy yourself. Why should any of us worry about criticism from a person that doesn’t live here and openly doesn’t want to come here?

Good luck down in the bay.

Well, Humboldt is full of folks who think that the entire world is just about 1000 feet from wherever it is that they sleep…

I did smoke weed, but only for 40 years or so…

I last tried Humboldt bud, in 2011, and I couldn’t handle it… I think acute dementia and being high on “Myers Flat Mind-fuck” would feel about the same…

I like being clean and sober so much, that I think YOU should try it…

You will all be buried in a mountain of unsold flower, and probably soon, but if you can’t compete with that wonderful corporate weed being grown on Stainless Steel Racks under LED lighting in Humungous Warehouses in the East Bay and down in Santa Barbara and Ojai and the entire Salinas Valley, heck, grow TWICE as much… That’ll help!

I love Humboldt, but my neighbors in Lower Redway drove me crazy, so Sayonara! Enjoy! OH, that family compound on Eel River Drive is for sale again, maybe you could flip it…

And the concept of “woman-grown weed” absolutely cracks me up, as I always saw women as having better sense than to waste their lives whilst smoking spliffs of Sinsemilla and then forgetting to feed the baby…

Based on your adoration for pharmaceutical products I’m gonna go ahead and guess that I spend a lot more of my life sober than you do. I don’t even smoke much anymore. But, again, you’ve made it clear you don’t like it up here. That’s why you left. And yet here you are, mentally unable to leave this place you so disliked. Why don’t you find some sober community down where you’re living and talk about issues local to you. No one up here cares what some random dude living in the bay thinks. Thanks

I smoked weed for about 10 years but stopped cuz it’s more for fun and escapism than doing difficult science and intense concentration but each to their own. I like being in my right mind and dealing with reality.

This concept of bud and breakfast has been going on since 2016, in San Francisco, Santa Rosa, LA, and Palm Springs. As usual, Humboldt is a day late, and a dollar short.

Why sit in the middle of the forest, when you can be closer to all the amenities, night life, and conveniences of these BIG cities. Unfortunately, through over regulation, Humboldt went from running with the big dogs, to staying on the porch. RIP

Don’t know about you, but if I were to indulge (I don’t) being in the redwoods would be much more pleasant than being in a big crowd.

You must be from Humco. Its a big attraction for many across the globe. I want to know what the qty limit will be. I remember delivering to the hotels back in the 90s. It was a bit more than they might be expecting at one time w this crowd.

2016? Talk about a day late and a dollar short. My concept of it goes back to 1989 at this hole of a truck stop in El Cajon, Sandy Eggo County. Folks had to know we were on cloud 420. But, we, 5-7 of us, were each always good for a large plate from their menu of 20+ styles of pancakes. And I know the concept of wake-n-bake goes back much further than that.

I grew up though. With age comes wisdom. I learned to bring what few amenities I needed to the middle of the forest, or my front porch, purposely avoiding running with the big dogs.

I know smoke is harmful and gummies are better, but, speaking of RIP, you just can’t beat the romance of a fat rip from a joint.

You should try our unique cultivars curated over decades of mastering the craft while evading taxes and ratting out my neighbors to stay in business.

I have a Indica dominate strain named Hippyocracy after the feeling I get when I realized my entire public facing ideological reality indoctrinated into me from the community is a lie based on my actual actions and behaviors.

The next is a Hybrid named 3rd World Utopia that was inspired by multiple vacation homes in poverty stricken paradises that I own and relax in after my 6 months of managing illegal immigrants who cultivate my crop comes to an end.

The third strain is a Sativa dominate named IOU inherited from a trick that a back to the lander taught me to maximize profits. The trick is, after that long hard 6 months of drinking micro-brews and eating out every night at the Benbow Inn only to wake up at 11:30 am and start bossing people around for 2 hours is NOT to pay them at the end of the season. Pure profit.

After all, when you’ve had to be a victim your entire life and the only self identity you have is a lie – why shouldn’t you be entitled to everything?

You can find these incredible strains in our METRC system but not in a retailer near you because we backdoor all the product and claim a loss.

However If you’d like to know more about our regenerative biodiverse cannabis farm in the majestic mountains of Humboldt country grown by 5th generation ganja warriors with organic KNF cultivation techniques crafted by hand and curated with ecologically friendly talking points you can visit us here:

I say good job for legal grows getting your product from the farm direct to the consumer. Don’t know any of the farms or owners of the inn but definately a good move if ya wanna compete in the corporate side of the industry. Best of luck!

Yeah it has a really upper effect that boosts the pathological narcissistic behaviors of the user buy the second hand smoke is a real downer for those who get stiffed.

It won 1st place in the Sativa category at the emerald cup and truly embodies the values of the legacy community.

I’m currently working on a new strain called 1%er that represents all of the oppression that farmers have went through as victims to a systematically racist and oppressed system that criminalized them for being criminals who fought through that oppression and earned income in the top 1 percentile their entire lives by selling drugs illegally on the black market.

The euphoric effects are grandiosity and delusion. Plus it’s purple so you can get 2 points more.

I combined a few landraces from around the world and created a strain I call “Envy.” It’s a symbolic reference to other strain producers who are resentful and aroused by someone else’s possessions and qualities. Cal State Fair will be my first availability to compete since most other competition submission windows closed before my product properly cured. I have to much respect for the plant to not provide the highest standards of a product represented by a grower from the Emerald Triangle.

I have yet to sample a “pre-roll” that wasn’t trash.

Take any pre-roll apart, it’s an overly packaged , wimpy, super dry and oxidized, ground up half a gram of regrets.

Frankly, I am cheered to see that is being delivered at all! I am a senior, living in Fortuna, where the “Good Old Boy” network forbids even deliveries into town, let alone our own dispensary. Their “holier than thou” attitude costs me $10 in gas every time I have to drive to Eureka, to obtain my “medicine” which helps me deal with constant pain. On a fixed, limited income, this makes making it to the end of the month, even more difficult!

Yeah, they get real disheveled when they come into town and businesses bossing folks around like a bunch of pizza gobbling trimmagrints then get shut down. Huh uh, that don’t fly in my shop. You want it WHEN? And you’re here only NOW?
