Body Found Decomposing in Abandoned Vehicle Northeast of Covelo Identified as Mexican National
Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Captain Greg Van Patten has confirmed the body found decomposing in a vehicle abandoned alongside Mendocino Pass Road northeast of Covelo was that of a Mexican national named Marco Antonio Barrera Beltran.
Beltran was 51-years-old from Ceres, California “via Michoacán”, a state in southwest Mexico.
Paloma Del Rio, Beltran’s daughter who lives in Mexico City, told us all the memories she has of her father are “‘beautiful.” She called him “the best dad.”
The last memory Del Rio has of her father “was when I finished university, he told me he was very proud of me.”
As to what Beltran was doing in Round Valley before his death, Captain Van Patten said that information could not be released yet due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Beltran’s body was discovered on October 3, 2021, after a game warden investigated a vehicle abandoned alongside rural Mendocino Pass Road.
Late last week MCSO detectives investigated a Covelo home on Henderson Lane thought to be connected “with the homicide in Covelo involving the deceased male in the trunk of the vehicle.” No information has been released about what was located at the residence.
Soon after the discovery of Beltran’s body, Captain Van Patten characterized the investigation into his homicide as “time-consuming” because of its complexity and described the crime as “body dump type of murder.”

“For years I tell my people to stay away from drugs, but it’s no use, there’s too much money in it. so we are forced to get in the business….” Mario Puzu, the Godfather.
There are no cartel grows in Covelo! All cannabis is medicine. It is the Herb of Peace! And we could never have enough of it. Oh…and legalization will make us all safe! (Best Hits from past comments sections)…
Well theoretically, if they didn’t allow cartles to grow in the US there wouldn’t be cartel style violence around in the cannabis community which has been historically peaceful and healthy
you ‘re kidding, right? Who is your “they” and how are “they” supposed to prevent cartels from running drugs? Especially with open borders (in case you missed it) and defunding law enforcement.
Well theoretically, if they didn’t allow people to murder in the US there wouldn’t be murderous violence in any community.
It’s not a cartel its a tribe
In other words, he was an illegal alien… no need to sugar coat it.
Maybe, maybe not. No need to jump to conclusions
There’s a difference between a conclusion and a logical conclusion.
Compliments to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department for the progress they are making in this investigation.
Or what others would refer to as a “human being.” Only a white nationalist colonizer would make such a vile comment!
Every chance they get !! There’s also the obligatory “open borders” that don’t exist.
Typical guilt manipulation by an open borders advocate. The type of person who thinks that smarmy ” no person is illegal” slogan has any meaning.

Of course, it’s the mystery of the year. Actually, the investigative mystery in Covelo is finding someone who doesn’t grow dope.
Covelo, has been taken over by the cartels, sure the individual growers are all different people. but the main buyers are agents of the cartel, therefore the entire valley who does business with these groups are apart of the cartels operation weather they know it or not.
Shocking. At least a 1/10 of the population of Mendocino County is a Mexican National. In Covelo, it’s at least 1/3. Just guessing at those numbers.
A rotting body in a trunk? The definition of the shit show that drug infested Round Valley has become is, “You know, you know the thing! Come on, man”… When they say “Mexican national” it means “Dude who was born in Mexico, and snuck into the U.S. to work a weed grow and pissed off the wrong other dirtbag who shot him and stuffed him in a trunk. Fucking pot has ruined the place, and pretty much every other place in the region…
