[UPDATE 9:46 p.m.] Couple Wanted for Questioning in Ferndale Graffiti Vandalism Case
Ferndale Police ask the public’s help identifying a man and a woman caught on video. They want to question the two in connection with graffiti that took place in the lovely village on October 15.

UPDATE 9:46 p.m.: According to the Ferndale Police,
Update: The female and male subject seen in the video vandalizing the wall with graffiti have been identified. The couple is suspected of 20 separate items of graffiti around town.
An alert citizen saw the couple matching the subjects in the video walking on Main St this afternoon. Officers contacted the couple and were able to positively identified them as the subjects in the video.
The report will be submitted to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s office with the request that the couple be charged with vandalism.
The Ferndale Police Department wishes to thank the citizen that called today and the several businesses and citizens that provided the department with video.

Ferndale doesn’t look, sound or smell like Eureka because they are intolerant of those things. Good for them. Hopscotching over like of human excrement or even the humans themselves get really, really old.

This isn’t t.v. As a graphic artist often getting sub-par art from clients with stupidly low resolution from a phone, I’m here to say, that is fiction. Yes, there are a few things that can be done to enhance an image making it appear more clear. But, for the most part, when you enlarge blur, you get blur. When you enlarge haze, you get haze. If the informational pixels don’t exist to begin with, I personally would argue in court that anything added was fabricated and completely subjective. Think of photos of planets. The old blurry photos have never been enhanced, not even with today’s technology. Any clearer planetary photos are from higher resolution cameras. The moral: if you want your perp nabbed, spend the dough and get a good, very good, quality camera.
This is why it’s good to wear a mask.
Looks like the kind of tag vagabonds used to make to indicate the type of people (nice vs mean) living at a house or where a good sleeping spot was. Could be something similar, like, maybe, a drug dealing spot. Could be a mark on the residents or employees. Similar to what we heard about a year or so ago: cars in shopping lots might be marked with an “F1” to indicate one female in the vehicle, or, “C1” – one child. If this is the case, it is far worse than just a graffiti tag. Even the most basic graffiti tag will be more complicated than a simple “S”.
Speaking of tags, it seems like she is wearing some kind of name tag, identification card or something like that pinned to her shirt or maybe it’s a necklace?
