I have been driving HWY 36 for 49 years and never had an accident which is in good part luck with so many speeders of late. I used to be able to just cruise along and pull over for the occasional bumper thumper. In the last 10 to 15 years the traffic has multiplied and speeders have made it far more dangerous. What used to be a good drive now seems to be a contest.

I’ve only been driving it for around 36 years, but absolutely agree with you it’s Dangerous Crappy Road to attempt to drive!!! Especially with all the Nut Jobs driving it as well, the last few years!!!

Please drive carefully on nasty highway 36. The road is garbage and a lot of the driver’s need to learn you don’t pass on yellow double lines, blind corners, or ride on another cars rear end. 36 will bite you in the rear in a split second!

If you can’t drive 36, you shouldn’t have a drivers license !!

We have only been over a few times but each time with a cab over camper onboard and camped along the way. We liked it. There is a campground I do not recall the name of with blue boulders in the creek.
