Redwood Discovery Museum Holding First-Ever Adult Night at the Museum on October 16th
This is a press release from the Redwood Discovery Museum:
The Redwood Discovery Museum is excited to announce our first-ever Adult Night at the Museum!
Come let your inner child out to play! On Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 7pm-9pm, the Discovery Museum will open its doors to adults only, with proof of ID. Cocktails, deserts, music, performers, raffles, and not to mention all our fun and interactive science exhibits will be available for a night of entertainment to support a good cause.
This fundraiser is to support the Discovery Museum’s programs, exhibit maintenance, and general overhead as we emerge out of the pandemic. Having been closed from March of 2020 through August of 2021, this important nonprofit organization came much too close to permanently closing its doors after over 25 years in Humboldt. Now, we are thrilled to be open to the public once more! However, we need your help to get back on our feet. This is why we are inviting all kids-at-heart and supporters of the Museum to enjoy a night of fun. Adults can play, too!
This event is for ages 21 and over. Due to the nature of the event, ID and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or positive antibody test will be required for entry. Masks must be worn at all times when not eating or drinking.
Admission cost is $25/person, $20 for members. Admission includes beverages, deserts, and entertainment tickets.
Interested in sponsoring this fundraising event? Contributions of items for the raffle, beverages, deserts, or monetary donations are eagerly appreciated. Call the museum at (707)443-9694, or email Stephanie at [email protected].
We hope to see you there!

Description sounds a little cryptic with the 21 deal and the part about the nature of the event. What will we discover? Maybe a dark room with whips and chains? If that’s the case just come out and say so, if you really want to draw a crowd.
