Trinity County Residents Can Receive Cash for COVID Vaccinations and Booster Shots

Trinity County Public Health Branch (TCPHB) continues to encourage vaccination against Covid-19 virus and ensure vaccine is accessible to all.
According to the CDC, clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for use in the United States (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen) have shown high efficacy in preventing symptomatic (including moderate to severe) COVID-19. Among adults aged 65–74 years, effectiveness of full vaccination for preventing hospitalization was 96% for Pfizer-BioNTech, 96% for Moderna, and 84% for Janssen COVID-19 vaccines; among adults aged ≥75 years, effectiveness of full vaccination for preventing hospitalization was 91% for Pfizer-BioNTech, 96% for Moderna, and 85% for Janssen COVID-19 vaccines.
COVID-19 vaccines remain safe and effective. They greatly reduce the chances of severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Additionally, even among the uncommon cases of COVID-19 among the fully or partially vaccinated, COVID-19 vaccines make people more likely to have a milder and shorter illness compared to those who are unvaccinated. CDC continues to recommend everyone 12 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19.

A $50.00 Visa or MasterCard will be mailed to Trinity County residents upon vaccination (For each dose in the vaccine series, including boosters) regardless of where vaccination was obtained. Simply ensure to include your mailing address when obtaining vaccine doses.
