[UPDATE 12:51 p.m.: Firefighters Stopped the Flames] Trailer Fully Engulfed in Fire Near Redcrest

Burning structure feature iconAbout 10:35 a.m., the emergency communications center dispatched multiple agencies to a structure fire on Hwy 254 near Redcrest.

The dispatcher sent Redcrest Fire, Rio Dell Fire and a Fortuna Water tender.

The first firefighter on the scene reported finding a fully engulfed trailer.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

UPDATE 10:48 a.m.: The Incident Commander reported that flames are now spreading to the vegetation. He requested Copter 102.

UPDATE 12:51 p.m.: Resources have been released from the fire which burned a quarter acre of vegetation, according to Cal Fire Division Chief Paul Savona. He provided us with this photo.

Unfortunatly with trailers there is usually nothing that can be done espically in rural areas where response time is longer. Hopefully no one was hurt and it does not spread to far

Nobody was hurt he wasn’t home im a neighbor and we were there
