1 Death, 4 Hospitalizations, 63 New Cases Reported Since Friday

COVID DEATHPress release from the County of Humboldt:

A Humboldt County resident in their 50s has died from COVID-19, marking the 94th death in the county. Department Operations Center staff share their condolences with the family, friends and caregivers of those who have died.

Four hospitalizations have also been reported since Friday, including a person in their 20s, one in their 30s, one in their 40s and one in their 50s. Sixty-three new cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing to 8,415 the total number of residents who have tested positive for the virus.

Executives at Pfizer said the company will seek emergency use authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11, indicating they will submit data and a formal request for authorization to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the coming days. While FDA officials have not provided a specific timeframe, the agency took a little more than a month to review the data before authorizing the Pfizer vaccine for 12-15 year olds earlier this year. An estimated 9,724 Humboldt County residents are children ages 5 to 11. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

No cost testing for COVID-19 is available seven days a week in Eureka at the Wharfinger Building and at mobile testing sites operated by OptumServe throughout the county Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but preregistration is recommended.

For questions about testing, or to make an appointment, visit lhi.care/covidtesting or phone 888-634-1123. Turnaround times for test results through OptumServe average 48 to 72 hours. Delays have been reported recently. Anyone who hasn’t received their results from OptumServe should call them at 888-634-1123. Public Health does not have access to OptumServe test results.

Appointments for Public Health vaccination clinics are not required but are now strongly recommended due to an anticipated increase in demand. Sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov. For instructions in English and Spanish on how to use My Turn, go to humboldtgov.org/VaccineInfo.

It’s a strange but very suggestive way of thinking that links an article about pending lack of care because 2% health care workers rather quit their jobs than get vaccinated with an article that points out that having those hospitals filled with covid patients has already crowded out other necessary care.
It’s like totally missing the point.

I’m not sure where you get this 2%. Is it your made-up number to support your conclusion? I read that in NYC it’s 10% and statewide NY it is 16%. Please be honest.

Are you not aware of the geopolitical ramifications of tanking the economy?

There are countries that have removed all restrictions, and maybe they have less corporate wokenesss than the USA

Are you not aware of the geopolitical ramifications of a pandemic unchecked has in tanking the economy anyway? That, while economic harm comes from overreacting to disease, it also comes not reacting at all? And that untempered anger at both extremes is the worst possible result? “One year on and Sweden is enjoying the near lowest COVID infection rates in the Nordic region and zero deaths. This has led to some pundits claiming that Sweden’s approach was the correct one all along: Whether you believe that Sweden’s approach was the correct one depends on how you weigh freedom from restrictions versus the value of human life, which is a personal preference. The other Nordic nations could also claim their approaches were more successful based on their lower overall death rates, which have also plummeted to near zero.”

“The dramatic improvement in the COVID situation across Sweden (and the other Nordic nations) probably has a lot to do with its high vaccination rate, which I have compared against Australia’s poor vaccination rate:

Nordic vaccination rates dwarf Australia’s.
If Australia wants to enjoy similar success to Sweden, without draconian lockdowns, then we must get the population vaccinated ASAP. It is as simple as that.” https://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2021/07/is-sweden-vindicated-on-covid/

Yes. Let’s hope that we don’t end up in the hospital, either in NY or in a couple of weeks in California, where about 2% of health care worker are willing to lose their jobs and create a worse crisis rather than get vaccinated when they can damn well see that their vaccinated collegues and their patients are much less likely to get sick and die.

But then maybe, despite the stress their choice makes on their colleagues, the patients are better off without them. What other poor choices have these people made while at work? Will they not bother to answer a call button because they judge that patient doesn’t really need them? Will they withhold a doctor’s medication order because they don’t agree with the value of it? Will they let food in the cafeteria sit out getting too warm because they know that the unproven theory about bacteria growth being harmful is a government conspiracy? Will they unplug a comotose patient because hearing all those unnecessary alarms beeping is not their choice?

There is absolutely no amount of poverty you can take on to make others rich, no amount of pain to make others feel better, no amount of disease or illness to make others well.

If you want better health, REMOVE FROM OUR STORES, THE INSTRUMENTS OF SICKNESS AND POOR HEALTH.

TAKE AWAY THE TEMPTATION, REDUCE THE RISK.

JUST LIKE ALL BOY SCHOOLS, AND ALL GIRL SCHOOLS.

NOT PERFECT, BUT A STEP TOWARDS A REAL SOLUTION

At least three promising antivirals for covid are being tested in clinical trials, with results expected as soon as late fall or winter, said Carl Dieffenbach, director of the Division of AIDS at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who is overseeing antiviral development.

“I think that we will have answers as to what these pills are capable of within the next several months,” Dieffenbach said

Here’s one:

Already proven to be safe and effective, It even works as an anti viral as well as an anti parasitic. Billions of doses given to date. I’d say Do your own research but THAT is now off the table.

I’d say go with the science, but Walensky just overruled her advisory committee, and went with her hunch. It was her call, apparently. So much for science.

You mean Pfizermectin-LOL? All three will be molecularly similar to Ivermectrin yet the libs in the vaccine cult, who once villafied “big pharma”, will be the useful idiots exalting the “new” expensive drugs while villafying cheap/safe Ivermectin. Bleet it in unison: 4 shots goo-ooood, 2 shots baa-aaad.

10 vaxxed new cases daily per 100,000, 46 unvaxxed new daily cases per 100,000. Of the 12 people hospitalized over the past week, one was vaxxed. (From the North Coast Journal).

The selfish unvaccinated are overloading our health care capacity leaving the rest of the community with delayed attention to their health needs, often with deleterious and fatal results. It’s up to four months to get a doctor appointment and diagnostic tests. Please support your community and get vaccinated.

You should study the art of persuasion, assuming you give a shit about anything more than enjoying a sense of self righteous indignation.

Demonizing everyone who makes a particular choice only causes some of those people to dig in their heels on the issue and others to make efforts to disguise their choice from you. It doesn’t really convince very many people to change their minds.

But at least you get the sensation of being superior.

Per CDC, there have been 464 kids under 18 who have died with Covid in the last 18 months or so.

That’s slightly more than the number of kids who die *per month* from car accidents in a normal year.

That ignores the more than 1 million children (worldwide) that have lost a parent to COVID. What do you imagine that impact is?

No. According to the CDC there have been 577. You left out the children under one year who died. But of course that dismissal of other people lives because there are few of them is part of the anti vaxxer arrogance at judging the value of those lives. Either they are just old people who were going to die anyway or fat people who are responsible for their own deaths or so few that it doesn’t matter. But the biggest demographic you missed to not be of interest to you is the number of unvaccinated who didn’t have to die if they were not mislead about the vaccine being more dangerous than the disease.

“Where are you coming up with such a skewed set of numbers?”

https://youtu.be/NRP-_2v8mSQ

From Pfizers own 6 month study trial shown at 4:30 minutes on the video. 8 vax vs 2 unvax heart related deaths, 3 vax vs 0 unvax sepsis related deaths, BOTH known side effects from the shot and we are only at 6 months. No problem with that for you?

“Even if you take every VAERS death as substantiated as having been caused by the COVID vaccine (Which they aren’t)”

You repeatedly ignore the MASSIVE (10-100) underreporting to VAERS while emphasizing the unsubstantiated VAERS deaths, which should be an obviously lower number ( by a factor of tens of thousands!) than the underreporting. WHY?

” I’ve given your side every advantage. I’ve tipped the scale further than is possible for even the most rabid sceptic… And the numbers are still strongly in favor of getting the vaccine.”

No you haven’t, No you didn’t, No they’re not!

People have tied their identity to their stance on these injections. It’s been months now and not one of the people who constantly claim that vaers data is just a bunch of noise have provided a single shred of evidence that vaers is anything but a massive undercount of adverse reactions, including deaths.

It is sheer insanity. If I was religous I would say their is a special place in hell for not only ignoring this evidence, but vehemently promoting this drug in spite of the evidence. It makes me sick.

8 Things Children Are More Likely to Die From Than COVID-19, According to the CDC – Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)

In other words, barely any. They were more likely to die of pneumonia, flu, drowning, homicide. But, yeah, way to virtue signal and pretend to give a shit. Unsurprisingly, you miss the irony in calling people arrogant while arrogantly ignoring the VAERS data and the large and mounting evidence on effective treatments that DO NOT carry the risk of covid “vaccines”, that the cult incessantly ignores, ESPECIALLY to children! Many of the unvaccinated could have been saved if not for people like you insisting that the choice is binary-vax or die.

Dubbing it “Red Covid,” The New York Times’ David Leonhardt writes:
“The political divide over vaccinations is so large that almost every reliably blue state now has a higher vaccination rate than almost every reliably red state. … Because the vaccines are so effective at preventing serious illness, Covid deaths are also showing a partisan pattern. Covid is still a national crisis, but the worst forms of it are increasingly concentrated in red America.”
