[UPDATE Saturday] Crash on Lower Thomas Road West of Miranda
About twenty minutes after 8 p.m., a vehicle, reportedly a silver Toyota Tacoma, went off Lower Thomas Road west of Miranda in the Salmon Creek watershed. The vehicle struck a tree.
According to first reports from the scene, the occupant may have a concussion. The Emergency Dispatch Center sent an ambulance to the accident scene.
A tow truck was requested for the vehicle which apparently has a blown out tire.
Please be careful driving in the area as there are a number of emergency vehicles sent to the scene.

UPDATE Saturday: The CHP are now reporting this is a minor injury accident.

We said our prayers on parts of that road 35 years ago…
Not a very good road to begin with, and blowing out a tire just adds to the crash. I hope they driver will be fine.
The tire could have gone flat after the vehicle left the pavement. For example, damage from the wreckage could have punctured the tire.
