[UPDATE 3:45 p.m.] RV Fire in Phillipsville

Fire helmet red backgroundAbout 10:13 a.m., dispatch sent firefighters to a fire in an RV near the Deerhorn Lodge in Phillipsville. An extra water tender was requested from Piercy to respond.

UPDATE 3:45 p.m.: According to Cal Fire Division Chief Isaac Lake, the fire turned out to be a person BBQing in their trailer. They were advised that this was an unsafe practice.

Hopefully they can get it out before it might spread. If it was occupied, I pray the people got out ok. Trailers seem to self-combust in Phillipsville. Arson?
