Statement from CHHS, CDPH on Vaccine Boosters

COVID Vaccine coronavirusPress release from the California Department of Public Health:

“Today, the U.S Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee underscored the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines. The research continues to clearly demonstrates how effective the COVID-19 vaccines are in reducing the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death, even against the widely circulating Delta variant.

“The committee of experts reinforced the importance of unvaccinated individuals getting vaccinated as soon as possible to protect both themselves and their loved ones. California’s success in suppressing the spread of the Delta variant is directly attributed to getting Californians vaccinated. We must double down on our efforts to ensure that all Californians who are eligible get vaccinated in order for us to collectively move beyond the pandemic.

“The committee recommended authorizing booster vaccines for those over the age of 65 or at high risk of severe disease. This recommendation [yesterday] is the first step in a long-established, multi-step process that CDPH and our federal partners follow for every COVID-19 vaccine decision. The next step is for the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to convene next week and make recommendations to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup will also convene and make its recommendations. ACIP and Western States Workgroup will review the data and make formal recommendations on boosters to be administered in California.

“Data have always led California’s COVID-19 response, and we will continue to monitor the data and the science closely to determine who will need a booster dose and when. We, along with our local and community partners, have been actively preparing for the possibility of administering booster doses and will be ready to administer immediately if approved.”

I would just like to say, prior to the green flag dropping on the usual 400 silly comments about Horse Wormer, Anti-Vax bullshit etc, that about 2,000,000 people have had a “booster”, including me.

Not hard to get, apparently, slightly more difficult a month ago…

Get vaccinated, do it now…

Remember, Ivermectin for COVID, is like Chemotherapy for an Ear Infection…

Wrong class of drug, wrong type of infection, just wrong, all the way around…

Not taking your vaccine is silly, change the record.

Well, L.R., I used to think that a good way to treat a cold was to mix Kahlua and Cointreau, and just keep sucking on it all day…

Kills the symptoms, but wouldn’t kill the Strongyloides…

Now, my feeling is, why get sick if you can prevent it?

The Flu vaccine doesn’t always work either, but I take it every year.

And no, I get no kickback from anyone.

Anti-vaxers are persons who would probably burn their diplomas at graduation, probably drive drunk as often as possible and insist that beer made them “better drivers”, and, their ancestors probably insisted the if you sailed west, you would “fall off the world”…

I went to college, and thought it was for the birds, until I realized that math is useful, science is just another language, and that rational thought, sensible reasoning, and learning to communicate were the real reason for attending… Once you learn to think like an educated person, and learn to learn stuff, like an educated person, you can do anything at all!

Of course, this all happened before anybody could acquire cosmic consciousness on any subject at all, by reading pure garbage on Facebook and Reddit…

I want you to be well, and safe. So take your vaccine, please…

Ivermectin has no part in this scheme, but it will probably kill your intestinal parasites.

The flaw in this argument is in thinking that just because a medicine is specific to a certain condition, that it is useless for anything else. This is not a logical or scientific conclusion, regardless of whether IVM is useful against Covid or not.
For instance, hydroxychloroquine is classed as an ‘antimalarial’, but is routinely prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis. So you never know.

I shouldn’t care to argue this point, some chemicals are useless, some chemicals seem to improve symptoms, and, some chemicals can be harmful, even though they achieve efficacy in the design…

Ivermectin: works by paralyzing and killing parasites.

Does it sound toxic?

Some medicines have off-label uses, but these uses should be approved and well documented by experiment.

Our government has a history of outlawing and over-controlling certain medications, but let’s remember that medicines are made to be sold, by salesmen, to doctors and patients…

We should be able to obtain all medicines, over the counter, upon demand, and, the problems with control and legality, addiction and “street-drugs vs “drugs we let you have”, these problems will go away when we are allowed to prescribe for ourselves, as we see fit.

Taking the money out of it, while educating patients through software and social media, and using Doctors as “consultants and repair-persons”, will be the ultimate outcome in a world where laws are too numerous and enforcement is missing in action, and where consumption of medicine is so expensive that it is out of reach of nearly everyone…

So yes, it’s way more complicated than you are pointing out, but I still think IVM is useless, when you have a working vaccine, already administered in Billions of doses worldwide…

Ever seen a career student try to fix a flat tire, the smallest of everyday problems gives them troubles, they tend to panic. Do you see where I’m headed with this? I’m not educated but I probably make more money than 95 percent of people in Humboldt, and I give 90 percent of it away, makes me feel good. But I would never donate a dime to a college. Career students are useless.

I’m inclined to agree with you, but nearly everyone has to get an occupation, sooner or later!

In SF, people just throw up a tent, and start their own private garbage dump! Some throw their sleeping bag on the sidewalk, and crawl in, and everyone else, just walks around them…

So, having some education is never a bad thing.

I’m an ancillary healthcare professional, but I consider myself to be blue-collar: a working man. I never did have other than a paycheck job, just paid for my home, supported my family: “Joe Six-pack.”

It still drives me crazy, though, when people make broad generalizations, like, “so and so” are always bad… Or, “the vaccine is bad because…”

We want the population to have an advantage, to be armed against bad disease! It just costs way less to prevent than to treat.

The whole IVM thing is a scam, to get you to buy some, IMO.

I agree that “those pointy-headed intellectuals can’t even park their bicycles straight”, in the words of Max Shulman (obscure reference), but, smart people sometimes produce amazing stuff, like Einstein, Edison and Tesla, and engineers and industrialists like Steve Jobs, Franklin Olin and even Henry Ford. It doesn’t take education to produce a fortune or to change the world, but an educated mind often can achieve amazing things, which others can learn from and emulate…

No ivermectin for me, I used black elderberry with zinc and my case of covid was do- able. Let’s just say that I lived through it.

I now have NATURAL IMMUNITY, which has been tried and tested for millions of years, and is far superior to your short lived vaccine efficacy.

As for your woke hospitals, I have never been a fan, so don’t worry I will save my bed for someone that truly needs it. (Like you).

They can have my four shots of the vaccine as well.

If you’re old or weak, then I recommend the so called vax.

If you’re young and healthy, then I recommend natural immunity.

I would NEVER force anyone! It is a personal choice and each person has their own unique situation, therefore must weigh their own pros and cons.

Good luck and good health to all!!

Since most anti-vaxxers don’t know much about immunity, they haven’t bothered to explain why exactly natural immunity is “far superior” than vaccine immunity.

Stimulus – Covid infection. Mechanism – stimulates your immune system to develop humeral (antibody) and cellular (T cell) immunity. Outcome – you have immunity.

Stimulus – vaccine. Mechanism – stimulates your immune system to develop humeral (antibody) and cellular (T cell) immunity. Outcome – you have immunity.

Note that step 2 and step 3 are the same, and use the same mechanisms “that been tried and tested for millions of years.”

There is plenty of good evidence that vaccines produce good immunity AND you get that immunity without the suffering, long-term disability, death and loss of income/productivity that comes with getting infected.

For example, in a study of reinfections in Kentucky, being unvaccinated was associated with 2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with being fully vaccinated. (https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7032e1.htm?s_cid=mm7032e1_w)

I for one am grateful to have the opportunity to get vaccinated and boostered as needed to avoid the trauma of an ICU visit or long Covid syndrome.

“Data have always led California’s COVID-19 response . . .”

What about when we were told not to bother wearing masks because they were not effective, then leaned that we had been lied to and there was actually concern of mask shortages that motivated that lie?

What about the way all stores have abandoned social distancing?

What about reducing the recommend social distancing to only 3 feet for kids in school?

What about alloweing vaccinated individuals go maksless without a way to verify vaccination status?

At every turn we have compromised between the course that scientific evidence indicates is best, and preserving short term profits.

I’m sorry you’re so confused. The most effective way to stop the spread is for everyone who is able to to: 1) get vaccinated, 2) wear a mask indoors and close up, 3) social distance, 4) wash your hands. Numbers 2 – 4 were announced publicly over and over and over and over beginning around March 12, 2019 and have been endlessly repeated since.

It’s an advisory panel. When Covid-19 vaccines were first given out that was the age group, along with a select few others who first received the vaccine. The highly contagious Delta variant will become the dominant strain of COVID-19 to circulate in Florida. The governor has resisted mask mandates, opened things up early, and is now resisting vaccine mandates by cities in Florida. So more than likely the vaxed people caught COVID-19 from un-vaxed people wandering around with no mask on and ignoring other healthcare advice. The Epoch Times is a far right propaganda news site affiliated with Falun Gong a secretive and obscure Chinese spiritual movement.

When we run out of the unvaccinated to vaccinate, who will we then vaccinate in order to protect the vaccinated?

Must we then boost the unboosted to protect the boosted?

When do the unboosted become the equivalent of the unvaxxed?

And when do the vaxxed and boosted become the unvaxxed?

All it will take is letting go one more variant.
Then we will all be back in the same boat again.

I detect a vicious cycle coming.

Guest, if you have not recognized the vicious cycle we have been incrementally asked to deal with this past few decades, you might rephrase your statement to include the simple fact that while the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, the media and it’s influencers has been engaged in a war of divide and conquer. Right now we are so focused, or should I say, distracted, by something that shouldn’t take so much oxygen to deal with. The truth is being actively suppressed, the way it’s always been suppressed, with a series of distractions ,one after another, with almost every media outlet supporting the top down narrative. If people want to bitch and moan about the easiest scapegoats, those who are saying NO, for all the right reasons, instead of a collapsing border, a potential dollar destroying infrastructure bill, and increased regulations, aka taxes on the ability to make an independent life, free of government intrusion.

So if people want to crucify someone who sees the con for what it is, then all you rabbid jabbers can go fuck yourselves.

Like ulr, pointed out, get the injection or don’t get the injection, it’s time to focus on the stability of this country with attacks on many fronts.

Time to tell the government, no more kicking the can down the road to pay for a cultural sea change on our backs.

Think about it, they mandating vaccines for us, but not for them.

They want to replace you with a cheaper, more pliable product.

Well duh! The people getting referred for monoclonal antibody therapy by doctors are those who are highly vulnerable to severe sickness and least likely to create immunity where from sickness or vaccination. Such people are aware of it and are likely to have been vaccinated. This EUA drug is offered free of charge to the users but it should not be used an alternative to vaccination by those who disparage vaccination as an “EUA experimental drug” but want the government to give them an other albeit hugely more expensive EUA treatment when they get scared of the disease they trivialize when they thought themselves safe. A real win for Big Pharma to sell a $1200 treatment rather than a $20 preventative by creating a shortage.

Some things are a matter of a glass half full or half empty. Unfortunately anti vaxxers see a half full glass as proof that someone is hiding water theft and proof glasses don’t hold water anyway.

As for kinder! Any group that announces old people dying with covid is nothing to be worth considering or only fat people die of covid and deserve no consideration or treat refusing vaccination as only their personal right as if the community wasn’t involved, has a huge climb to get out of the hate hole they dug before they can even achieve apathy much less kindness.

Children’s Health Defense Responds to Biden’s ‘Declaration of War Against Unvaccinated’

In a “deeply disturbing” speech last week, President Biden exhorted

medical coercion of an

experimental gene therapy for a virus

with a 99% survival rate for a large portion of the population,

and for which no one bears financial liability in cases where injuries or deaths occur.

At the same time, COVID-19 ICU patients reach new records, many insurance companies are pulling back on cost-sharing waivers that protected COVID-19 survivors from medical debt.

A recent study from the Kaiser Family Foundation found by September around 80% of the top insurers in the country will no longer waive fees associated with COVID-19 hospitalization and treatment. Another reason to get the shot.
we will all be paying more for insurance to pay for the unvaccinated who make up a huge proportion of hospitalizations.

Although far-right Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has drawn a lot of criticism from health experts for downplaying the severity of COVID-19 in his state, none of that criticism has inspired him to change course. And when a press conference on vaccines was held this week, DeSantis failed to push back against false claims promoted by an anti-vaxxer alternet.org.

New studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published Friday show that unvaccinated people are 11 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than vaccinated people.
Even among the delta variant, one study found that the unvaccinated were 4.5 times more likely to get infected, 10 times more likely to be hospitalized and 11 times more likely to die. The study was conducted across 13 states and included data from over 600,000 COVID cases since April. USA Today 9/11/21

An interview with Gov. Tate Reeves (R-MS). Host Jake Tapper on Sunday morning after the CNN host pointed out the massive death toll in his state from Covid-19 and point-blank told him: “You’re not doing anything.”
During the interview that ranged over 14 minutes, host Tapper called the death toll in Mississippi “horrible” and informed the Republican lawmaker that, if his state was a country, it would be second in Covid deaths per capita. A hospital system in Arkansas is making it more difficult for staff to receive religious exemptions from its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The hospital is now requiring staff to also swear off extremely common medicines, such as Tylenol, Tums, and even Preparation H, to get the exemption.
The move was prompted when Conway Regional Health System noted an unusual uptick in vaccine exemption requests that cited the use of fetal cell lines in the development and testing

He attended Dartmouth College, from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with a B.A. in History, modified by Visual Studies, in 1991.[17] At Dartmouth, Tapper was a member of Alpha Chi Alpha fraternity. I would say he is pretty well qualified. Unlike that idiot Tucker “I like to spread bullshit” Carlson, who who was kicked out of one school. He has a BA in history. He applied to join the CIA but was denied. Even they saw he was an idiot.

Media mum India’s Ivermectin success story; El Salvador offers it free to citizens

WorldTribune Staff, September 19, 2021

Big Media is continuing its blackout on how India has put Ivermectin to use in the treatment and prevention of Covid-19 to great success.

Meanwhile, the government of El Salvador is now including Ivermectin in its packets of treatments for Covid that are being given freely to citizens.

On Aug. 15, the Ivermectin-using state of Delhi in India recorded only 53 new cases and zero deaths.

AbstractBackground Reports of waning vaccine-induced immunity against COVID-19 have begun to surface. With that, the comparable long-term protection conferred by previous infection with SARS-CoV-2 remains unclear.

Methods We conducted a retrospective observational study comparing three groups: (1)SARS-CoV-2-naïve individuals who received a two-dose regimen of the BioNTech/Pfizer mRNA BNT162b2 vaccine, (2)previously infected individuals who have not been vaccinated, and (3)previously infected and single dose vaccinated individuals. Three multivariate logistic regression models were applied. In all models we evaluated four outcomes: SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptomatic disease, COVID-19-related hospitalization and death. The follow-up period of June 1 to August 14, 2021, when the Delta variant was dominant in Israel.

Results SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees had a 13.06-fold (95% CI, 8.08 to 21.11) increased risk for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to those previously infected, when the first event (infection or vaccination) occurred during January and February of 2021. The increased risk was significant (P<0.001) for symptomatic disease as well. When allowing the infection to occur at any time before vaccination (from March 2020 to February 2021), evidence of waning natural immunity was demonstrated, though SARS-CoV-2 naïve vaccinees had a 5.96-fold (95% CI, 4.85 to 7.33) increased risk for breakthrough infection and a 7.13-fold (95% CI, 5.51 to 9.21) increased risk for symptomatic disease. SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees were also at a greater risk for COVID-19-related-hospitalizations compared to those that were previously infected.
Conclusions This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease and hospitalization caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, compared to the BNT162b2 two-dose vaccine-induced immunity. Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant.

It is unfortunate that public health agencies have chosen a path other than maximum transparency. I understand that its not necessarily what they are set up to provide, but actual complete transparency is a much better way to build trust.
