Wow, a scumbag finally gets prosecuted in Humboldt County. Following other counties like Mendocino and south to the Bay you will find charges, bail, and stricter sentencing. I was in Marin last week and read a police report from 3 burglaries where they collected evidence, sent fingerprints, and followed through with a real investigation and procedded to arrest the 2 individuals. In Humboldt these would barely warrant a police stop by, much less report, arrest and definitely not a conviction. People thought Maggie would be a hard ass. Instead violent crime is the accepted norm.
