Mendocino Code Enforcement Abates Multiple Sites With Between 20 to 331 Marijuana Plants

This is a press release from the Mendocino County Code Enforcement Division Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
In addition to what was previously reported in our last News Release, in the months of July and August 2021 the Mendocino County Code Enforcement Division conducted investigations regarding non-permitted commercial cannabis cultivation at the listed locations below in the Willits/Laytonville areas. Any cannabis cultivation over the Medical or Adult Use exemption limit (as defined in Mendocino County Code Section 10A.17.030) is considered to be commercial cultivation. Please see the Mendocino County Code (MCC) Section 10A.17 for additional information.
Code Enforcement investigations confirmed that commercial cannabis cultivation was taking place at these locations without either a County Cultivation Permit or a State Cultivation License, and/or cultivation was taking place in violation of MCC Sec. 10A.17 requirements. It was determined that there were significant community quality of life concerns in these neighborhoods. The responsible parties abated the cannabis plants after Code Enforcement engagement.
7/27/21 – 26000 Block of Maize Drive – 69 Cannabis plants abated
8/12/21 – 6000 Block of Big John Road – 90 Cannabis plants abated
8/17/21 – 4000 Block of Branscomb Road – 20 Cannabis plants abated
8/17/21 – 54000 Block of Wildwood Drive – 33 Cannabis plants abated
8/17/21 – 41000 Block of North Highway 101 – 49 Cannabis plants abated
8/23/21 – 3900 Block of Second Gate Road – 331 Cannabis plants abated
8/23/21 – 3700 Block of Ridgewood Road – 84 Cannabis plants abated
Code Enforcement intends to take additional action as needed to achieve compliance with any non-permitted structures at these locations.

I have some significant quality of life concerns over my neighbors huge “farming” operation. There’s noise and strong smells, foreign workers coming and going at all hours of the night, fuel trucks, and diesel engines spewing, literally shit everywhere, and plastic sheeting all over the place, and out of town buyers.
Our Sheriff needs to get off their ass and come bust these dairy operations over here.
How dare you prioritize a legitimate illegal cannabis operation funded by the cartels and run by trimmigrants over somebody’s 5 to 20 plant mom-and-pop operation who didn’t pay the brand new taxes for water usage even though they have inalienable water rights daring back to the 1800s!
I do not understand these paltry numbers. I almost wanna call the tip line on some of my own grows just to get them to leave grandma and grandpa alone. Blessings to the fallen.
Please can we just have one story of them busting a permitted farm for selling on the black market.

It’s one thing to hit the massive blowout w water diversions and diesel spilled and firearms and sex slaves and a driver who got popped in Topeka w a hundo from Mendo but to stomp some poor souls just trying to make a property tax payment or send Jenny to Berkeley is despicable. The Sheriff must be bored as hell or someone has put him up to no good.
