[UPDATE 7 p.m.] Shasta County Sheriff Issues Evacuation Warnings for Residents Along Hwy 36 in Western Shasta Because of McFarland Fire

Shasta County Sheriff's Office SCSOPress release from the Shasta County Sheriff:

For the #McFarlandFire burning in the area of western Shasta County. Evacuation WARNINGS are being issued for: •Shields Road •White Rock Road •Harrison Gulch Road from Highway 36 to Deerlick Springs Road

Please note:

  • An Evacuation Order means you should leave now and the area is closed to the public.
  • An Evacuation Warning means the residents of the area should prepare to leave if ordered to do so.

Thanks for posting the update!!! FB doesn’t like me using a computer till the end of it’s natural life. Glad the weather gave the firefighter a break so they could get a toe hold. With yesterday’s growth and the grim morning update on inciweb it was looking like it would be Eureka to Redding in about 2 weeks with my crispy ass just a few days out!
