1 Death of a Local in Their 30’s, 31 New Cases Reported Today; Public Asked to Reconsider Gatherings

COVID DEATHPress release from the County of Humboldt:

A Humboldt County resident in their 30s has died with COVID-19, the youngest local resident to die from the virus. Staff in the Departmental Operations Center extend their sympathies to the person’s family, friends and caregivers.

Thirty-one new cases have been confirmed in the county today, and three new hospitalizations have been reported, including two people in their 60s and one person in their 70s. The total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus is now 5,269.

To contain the spread of COVID-19, Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman urges residents to consider using safety precautions in their daily activities and to assess the risk of transmission when deciding what activities to continue, given the steep rise in cases and hospitalizations associated with Delta variant.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently urged event organizers to assess for additional measures, including limiting capacity at gatherings or event postponement in areas of high transmission, such as Humboldt County.

“Everyone is frustrated that this is moving backwards given all the progress made,” Dr. Hoffman said. “Think about what level of risk you can tolerate, what makes sense for yourself, your family, when deciding what activities to continue in public.”

On July 23, Public Health recommended that everyone over the age of two should mask indoors when in public, regardless of vaccination status. Other recommended prevention measures include frequent handwashing, physical distancing in public places, getting tested following an exposure and staying home when sick.

Residents are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. All available vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Vaccine is available by appointment and to walk-ins at Public Health vaccination clinics located throughout the county, and most local pharmacies also offer COVID-19 vaccines. See the Public Health clinic schedule for the next seven days below, and sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov.

If you still believe the “healthy young person” horse manure after 18 months of these stories being debunked, you deserve to be fooled.

The onslaught of blatant propaganda is the disturbing and insulting. If I trusted these people before, I certainly will not after having them lie to me repeatedly with no shame.

Notice the press release says “died with COVID-19” not “died of COVID-19”. Words matter. They could have died from anything and just tested positive is what the words say.

Sigh, Biden didn’t promise 100.00 to get the vaccine. He called on the states to do that., last Thursday.

As for the 2000.00. It did get given, 600.00 and then an additional 1400.00.

Condolences to the family of the young person who passed away.

208 tests is about half the number of recent tests.

31 cases out of 208 cases is
14.9% positivity.

That’s the highest it’s been for days.

Realistically.

A little worse than Friday when we had 69 out of 472. That’s 14.6%

Why they don’t mention test numbers or positivity rate is beyond me.

Cases without test numbers when test numbers vary is not good info.

It can’t be properly compared.

One has to wonder the circumstances which are not provided. VERY vague. Any comorbidities? Were they in a car wreck and tested positive? Forgive me for questioning the diagnosis but there are so many unanswered questions. I am not try to cast aspersions on the victim but this whole CV thing has become cult like. I’ll tell you what it is like for a young person with/from/what the hell semantics.

There is a 23 y/o man lying in a contraption in a hospital in St. Louis Missouri. He is from my family’s county clear across the state.

For the last six weeks and more, he has been on a ventilator and two (2) ECMO machines to keep him alive in hopes that he recovers. It was a big day when they could at least temporarily take him off ONE of the ECMO machines. As his mother and his wife have to be so far away from him (the wife with the babies and the mother with her own husband having suffered a stroke and they can’t afford to stay in St. Louis). Thankfully the medical staff at the hospital can talk to the family via zoom. There is a 30 to 50 percent chance he may survive. And what I just related is the tidy version of what that boy is going through.

It’s not a cult. The cult is the horde of anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, etc. who latch onto whatever BS they find on the internet to bolster their whatever it is. Like Dr. Malone who touts himself as the inventor of the mRNA vaccines. He is not.

Or that execrable charlatan Mercola (who makes a living selling woo and supplements and has been fined over 2 million dollars for selling tanning beds that he claimed cured cancer…think about that for a minute).

Or quoting a chiropractor like he would be an authority on virology. That would be like going to a gynecologist for cataracts in the eye.

The list goes on and on and on.

I’m not afraid, I am livid. The young man I was talking about? His whole family fell for the anti-vaxxer BS. This doesn’t even mention the man I know from the same county that passed away last month. Same thing. They didn’t believe it was that dangerous or that it would ever reach them.

Not to mention a number of viruses come back to bite long after recovery. They can hide out in the body in places the immune system can’t clear.
Things like shingles and herpes. Sars-cov-2 seems a likely candidate for that as there have been problems with determining whether a covid return is a reinfection or recurrence.

There is NO discussion, only criticism of a different opinion. Perhaps there IS an alternative solution other than an experimental NON AUTHORIZED by the FDA shot? Maybe, just maybe Big Pharma is hiding a cheap effective solution that has been around for decades? WHY you ask? Follow the money. The emergency authorization act was rushed through without proper consideration in my PEA BRAIN. Profit above Cure is the order of the day. Meanwhile, adverse side effects are piling up and lives are ruined.

Your “opinion” vs. actual death and suffering.

Yeah, and I’m the one in a cult? What is there is discuss or debate? I see a “discussion” about the meaning of with vs. from. That is disingenuous as all get out.

What I see are people who want to “discuss” a bunch of fallacious “opinions”, anything to deny that Covid is very real and very deadly for so many. Or that these people shouldn’t have to do a damn thing, because “freedom and rights”. All about the rights, but nothing about the responsibility.

And quite frankly, I’m not sure what there is to “discuss” at this point. It’s just whack-a-mole at this point. Every new talking point or screen cap of some person on twitter or you-tube. We apparently MUST discuss them, or else we are the cult.

If you’re tired of unfounded opinions you could seek out the thoughts of someone like Dr. Peter McCullough. He’s very well credentialed and has a number of protocols he recommends for keeping people with covid out of hospitals.

He also has spoken out about the fact that, as a practicing physician, he has been actively discouraged from implementing these protocols.

Bet that Fortuna rodeo was so much fun.
The way some here are so flippant about death by Covid is appalling. Laugh at people wearing masks, yeah, way to show your humanity. Arrogance will get you nowhere in life. A lot of arrogant trolls here showing their true selves, and proud of it. What a sad bunch of losers.

A damn fine man, that he is, and I respect him to the utmost degree. Yes sirree.
I watched him do one of the bravest things I have ever seen a man do single handedly.
It was a double rescue.
A young man and woman.
And it was death defying.
They were still somehow in there little truck, over a 80-100′ drop off, perched precarious in an oak tree, miraculously, upright, unharmed after a flying twisting roll over, over the banker, accomplished with plenty of forward momentum, not very far below the level of the road.

The camper shell, and all there gear, now lying 100 feet down at the bottom.

When he got there,
he literally chained himself to a fire truck, tying the long heavy chain around his waist, wrapping it twice, do he had a little to work with the he got where he was going, highly unorthodox, yet it provided a measure of safety. And then he just went for it. Not his first rodeo.

I woulda liked to have helped him but my hands were tied.

And I’m no good with heights, anyways.

Down the bank he went just a little, then over a 20 foot long, maybe a foot wide hogback that was 80 to 100 feet straight down on both sides, and hooked the chain to the truck and the tree like it was just any other choker set. That truck wasn’t going any where that tree wasn’t going.
Just another day in the woods.
Cool calm and collected.
Just nothing but pure take the bull by the horns and Get ‘er done, brave.
Mister Dependable.
He hooked that chain up so it worked like kind of a hand rail to get back and forth over that narrow hogback. Soon they were all back up to the road.

I’m sure he had a little help but I only remember him doing it. He was definitely the leader.
A natural.
You see, tech rescue got sent to the wrong wreck that day and it was in the opposite direction.
So it was gonna be over an hour an he ain’t a man that burns daylight.
Nobody else knew just exact what to do.
He was tech test rescue that day, all by himself.
And it definitely wasn’t gonna be totally safe, but no telling how much longer that truck was gonna stay in that little oak, or if the oak the truck and both occupants we’re all gonna go at once,
not to mention Mister Dependable.
It would have probably been deadly.
All’s well that ends well, and it ended well.
Not so much for the other accident. 3 or 5 of them didn’t make it, I can’t remember exactly.
I hope your classmate pulls through.
I really look up to him.
Did I exaggerate?, not really, it was 14 years ago, we were all a little younger.

It was amazing. He just probably went back to working in the woods that day, probably just skipped lunch, and called ‘er good.

It’s a good memory, I hope nobody minds me sharing it.

It’s pathetic you don’t have enough integrity to take responsibility for the messages you amplify here. They are free to make their own sites, you are not required to host it. That has nothing to do with freedom of speech, it’s just a pathetic copout you use to rationalize enabling misinformation.

You are right about private ownership (that socialist anathema) not being obligated by the Constitution to permit free speech. The reality is that even places like the PRC, where government has a stranglehold on public speech, people still find a way to spread the word. Only the word contains even more misinformation, lies and deceit because there is no one to act as a check on it as they are not party to the spread.

Go ahead. Use the tolerance given here to campaign against anti vaxxer disinformation. But don’t expect that someone else is going to do it for you. Because once you have given over your obligation to speak to someone else, no one is going to hear your complaints about how they do it. You are now silent.

Nonsense. He himself has denied that he is the title you give him as he hasn’t even been involved in such research in over 30 years before the vaccines were invented. And even then he was only a student working under other scientists. And he has taken one of the vaccinations himself. He mostly sounds like an angry old man complaining about no one giving him the attention he thinks he deserved. And he’s marketing himself shamelessly to the anti vaxxers .

All this leaves off that, if he had been right about the vaccines, it would be clear by now with millions having been vaccinated and subsequently exposed to infection. But the exact opposite has happened. Vaccinated people infected by the virus have done better than unvaccinated people.

Choosing different “authorities” based on whether they say what you want to hear is much more foolish than simply accepting expertise in general. For not only are does that blind a person to error by refusing to hear contradictory information but it makes a person look like an idiot by simultaneously advocating and refusing expertise without any objective criteria at all.

Garbage?

Really? It is really sad that you have to say I am lying because it messes with your deeply held opinion.

The people I talk about are very real. They lived in SW Missouri (which has been especially hard hit and I am only grateful that my mother who still lives there got the shots early because she is surrounded by Covidiots). I say lived because one is dead, and just last night the hospital in St. Louis called the young man’s family and told them to get there ASAP. I’d like to think that means he’s made a miraculous recovery, but I fear it means they need to get there because he is dying.

I can show Kym the information because I won’t share their names here because there are some real trolls here. I trust Kym. And she can verify that these men are not made up.

There’s an option for being an inorganic humanoid? I didn’t think the AI’s were that far along yet.

And just for semantics sake, even if your DNA was altered, you’d still be an organic humanoid. The organic just means carbon-based in this context.

Finally, just as a point of clarification, the vaccines for COVID do NOT alter your DNA — it never enters the nucleus of any cell, which is where DNA resides.

Although all of those misconceptions are understandable for someone with an honorary doctorate of divinity. Not excusable, but understandable.

Not exactly. Its a genetically modified adenovirus. The old school approach is to use a weakened, killed, or a portion of the virus you’re innoculating against.

It is much closer to the more typical vaccine approach we are all familiar with than the mrna shots though

I am so sorry for the family of the person that died. I am not able to have the vaccine. I wear a mask when I’m out in public and I have to go shopping. I ask people to wear a mask whether you are vaccinated or not. This is the least we all can do. I’m concerned for my grandchildren and other children who don’t have a choice for a safe vaccine. I read a pretty decent article about why the Pfizer vaccines and mRNA vaccines aren’t working. No one really cares though that took the vaccine and people who haven’t aren’t going to so it doesn’t matter.

Basically the mRNA vaccine codes to protect against the main vector that Covid uses to enter a cell: the spike protein. There are multiple other vectors that the virus can use to enter a cell instead of the spike protein so the virus is just using plans B, C, and D to enter people’s cells and get them sick. Furthermore when Pfizer and Moderna were testing there vaccines they only tested them against the vector of entry they were designed to protect against, the spike protein, and they are very effective at that, but not effective at preventing any other method of entry into a cell.

You can find the info easily. Like I said, I won’t do your due diligence for you, but the info is there. Just like the fast one pulled on the J and J, it doesn’t inject weakened attenuated virus into you for your body to fight, it inserts some of covid’s DNA into you so your body can register its genetic signature and learn to find and attack that. Every vaccine available in the US is a mRNA or DNA vax, the only one that isn’t is astra-Zeneca and it’s not allowed here for some reason.

Personally, I hear ya. No real argument. But I will suggest developing the vaxxes was probably the fastest, largest, most complex inventive medical cram-down in human history. The Gov leaned so hard and with billion$ to have key pharma-corps, with some other private (school, other) and gov specialists weighing in, there was next to no time for still-better; covid (and resulting mutant variants, scientists now know however enough smarties surmizing earlier on) was firmly everywhere and accelerating, coming like a phucking freight train. Must. Slow. The. Phucker. Down. To buy time to get ahead of the curve, to figure what might be next in coming, to collect, sort, crunch data coming in worldwide, to do more science and improve response options. Serious shit.

Without the vaxxes that we currently have, large enough parts of the earth would probably have stunk with bodies like a WW One battlefield, and variants catapulted forward faster, spreading, the next variants prolly raging all continents. No BS, this. Not fiction. Very, very likely it would have happened. We are a lucky-idiot of a species, but only temporarily, as we kill off the earth that brought us. We, the ultimate virus-like life form, no BS.

“Basically the mRNA vaccine codes to protect against the main vector that Covid uses to enter a cell: the spike protein.”

1911, it is my understanding that this narrow protection, specifically while in the middle of the pandemic, is what helps the virus to be so adaptable in its mutations, especially in people who ARE vaccinated. So, while the sanctimonious, know it all, vaccine zealots are screaming at you, it may in fact be THEM that are streamlining the mutations, something Dr. Peter Mcullough warned about in March. Of course, he’s just a crackpot. If you want real science you should just listen to Auntie Ovine.

https://rumble.com/vhp8e1-massive-world-renowned-doctor-blows-lid-off-of-covid-vaccine.html

It appears that what Mcullough forewarned about has happened. Dr. Malone appears to be vindicating his prediction. But what would Dr. Robert Malone know? He didn’t invent MRNA technology anyway (now that the Ministry of Truth the left relies on has changed his bio, i.e. Wikipedia)

https://rumble.com/vkfz1v-the-vaccine-causes-the-virus-to-be-more-dangerous.html?fbclid=IwAR1XF2wBwJusVHAWoCOnPJ26fWDFp9n_gPXVlaTL8PbGCC1vIAAAa9Ixj0E

The spike proteins may be causing tiny blood clots and killing people but yeah, where’s my tin foil hat cause Don Lemon and the WHO don’t agree. Get the damn jab.

If you want an old fashioned killed virus vaccine, China makes them. And has admitted they are of low effectiveness and are looking at multiple shots to increase it.

“China’s top disease control official, in a rare acknowledgement, said current vaccines offer low protection against the coronavirus and mixing them is among strategies being considered to boost their effectiveness.”

https://apnews.com/article/china-gao-fu-vaccines-offer-low-protection-coronavirus-675bcb6b5710c7329823148ffbff6ef9

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57817591

Not to mention all the variants currently circulating were created before vaccines were in use. And the real risk is that a variant will emerge that will escape the protection offered by vaccination. Not that it will innately be more dangerous than those already going round. So the rationale of the anti vaxxers is in essence that, since a variant will come along that gets around current vaccines, it is better to just up and get sick now because the vaccine might not work for long? Really? That’s like saying that driving over a cliff immediately is better than driving off a cliff next year. That’s all they’ve got.

Maybe vaccine breakthrough cases are the luckiest of all. They get the broader spectrum of antibodies of naturally acquired immunity with a much lower risk of death and severe illness than those who are unvaccinated.

Did the person in their 30’s have a pre-existing condition? Shouldn’t we be able to know that to make an informed decision? Obesity is the number one risk factor for Covid, shouldn’t we be encouraging weight loss across the boards? The cdc states all kids , less than 400, who died from this all had A pre-existing condition, why not say that to the public? RIP

I applaud you Angela Robinson for speaking your truth and using your name too! My cousin is dead from Covid. He was the Inspector General of New Mexico in excellent health and never smoked, drank alcohol or did drugs. He ran regularly several miles weekly. He was a retired from Sheriff’s Dept. And was 65 yrs old. He was gone in 6 days from diagnosis. For all of you who choose to be free of vaccinations I understand that. Realize you are why we are going backwards with the people dying again. But stay away from children under 12 yrs of age. My daughter has Crohn’s disease and has no immune system so she will die if exposed to Covid! So now let’s get real about virus when you go to ICU. I worked in a big hospital over 20 years .I can tell you having a tube shoved down your throat to be on a ventilator is a painful horrible thing. Every time you swallow it is like a knife raking your raw throat. Usually your mouth has no saliva as oxygen drys out any moisture And you are alone dying , alone and gasping and scared. Most of the Nurses are trying not to get close to you because they know you are dying and it hurts them to get close and watch you die. It’s not mean but a way of coping when surrounded with a lot of death. People that live have had their limbs amputated. A Secret Service employee that worked with Trump and was exposed now had his leg amputated and was on Go Fund Me to help with wheelchair ramps installation at his house. People have had their lung , livers replaced because this virus is so bad. The outlook is bad because many will be disabled the rest of their lives! Go to a big hospital and talk to the nursing staff and ask them how real it is? Go sit in a big city hospital in the ER since you don’t believe in Covid anyway and watch how busy it is or find one person who was on a ventilator and ask them would they get a vaccination if they could go back in time? I will pay you $100.00 if you can find someone with medical records that was on a ventilator that they still think vaccines are bad? Or would they take the vaccine to avoid the ventilator? Pull your head out of the sand and look at how many people have died and less than 1 per cent have had any negative side effects and no deaths. And to the person who wants to know where the bodies are, and the kfc and in and out comment?? You have the right to not believe anything you don’t want to but please stop saying insensitive rude comments as it is hurtful and cruel for we, the families. The loss is profuse as we can’t hold them as they lay dying so you could show some respect. Respect do we have any left in America anymore? Would you like to be accused of making the whole thing up as you are trying to pay for a funeral preparation ? Most 31 year olds don’t carry large life insurance policies so No!! you would not like it! To the family who lost their loved one, I am so so sorry for your loss. I pray that angels surround your family and for you to find comfort and for peace to be with you. Maybe someday we will be reunited but know he will always live in your hearts . I ask for compassion and for all of us to show kindness towards those affected by this virus. For all of us.

If you’re not vaccinated, and you’re not young and healthy, and you haven’t already had covid, then you probably know that you’re at a small risk of dying. There are people willing to take that chance. If they survive they’ll be immune. The rest of us will move on. The death rate is still not spiking. Let’s not crash the economy again for a handful of people who aren’t asking us to do so. Sheesh.

I was a pro-vaxxer, even wrote essays and poems about it.
Even before covid I was arguing that a few thousand deaths out of 200 million from ANY vaccine was just the price you pay for being a member of civilization.
Well, now there’s a chance, possibly a good chance, that the Pfizer covid 19 vaccine has given me an annoying side-effect: a heart condition which is supposed to be usually curable with medication.
If I had known that I would get this I wouldn’t have been vaccinated.
So now I have to deal, but it does give me a little more understanding and sympathy for whomever doesn’t want to get this shot, politics and conspiracy theories notwithstanding…

You could also get an annoying life threatening or debilitating heart condition from a covid infection also. Very well documented. Assuming your comment is in good faith, I’m very, very, sorry this happened to you, but to not get vaccinated is a huge gamble also. Eduardo Rodriguez a pitcher for the Boston Redsox developed a serious heart condition from his covid infection last year. He has had access to the best healthcare in the world, unlimited funds and was in prime condition in his mid twenties with no preexisting conditions. He has made a comeback over a year later, but hasn’t been the same as before the illness. There are many like him with a much lower profile and less resources that have not done as well. Hopefully you heal well and can get some effective medicine to manage your condition.

Anti vaxxers are conspiracy addicts who call just about everyone from individuals to doctors to governments liars. That’s what they do. So they have no business casting aspersions on pro vaxxers.

In any group millions in size, like the size of those who got vaccinated, things are going to continue happening just as they did previously. People who got heart conditions are going to still get them whether they got vaccinated or not. But humans are always looking for connections and getting vaccinated is one that is likely to be thought a connection, even if it’s not.

There is a chance- a statistically small one- of certain side effects of vaccination. But there is still a much larger chance that infection itself will cause them. But never would an anti vaxxer say that avoiding getting sick by getting vaccinated is a good thing. Nope. With them, if a 100,000 die of a disease and a million more made sick- well that’s OK. It natural as if there was nothing to be done to prevent it. But let one person get even a mild side effect from a vaccine and they clutch their metaphorical pearls to their collective chests and scream their outrage.

AO,

Avoiding getting sick by getting vaccinated is a good thing.

There, I said it. But, that is not what always happens.

On the other hand…

Anti-Antavxxer conspiracy addicts aren’t that uncommon, either, and they, too, also call everyone from individuals, to doctors, to government, liars.
They don’t seem to be immune to that, even as pro-vaxxer, as they are.

Let me hear you say,

“Avoiding getting side effects by not getting vaccinated is OK, too.”,

(To prove your on an even keel.)

A hard list, whether it be to port, or it be to starboard, is equally unbalanced, says I.

Either way, that’s where you’ll find the bilge water.

Today. Gupta-TV-Doctor-… but-Doctor:
“Despite the latest news and research — showing that even among people who are vaccinated, there is some risk of getting infected with the coronavirus — the most recent data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows only about 6,600 breakthrough cases were severe out of more than 163 million fully vaccinated people, and more than a quarter of those were classified as “asymptomatic or not related to Covid-19.” Put another way: More than 99.99% of people who are fully vaccinated have not had a breakthrough case resulting in hospitalization or death. And yes, that’s even taking into account the more transmissible Delta variant.”

Even if he’s behind the curve, by some reasonably small percent between the time he drafted and article was posted, well, things are clear enough.

If you remain sitting on the fence, as to vax or not, put this in your hopper of considerations. With of course the understanding the sands of covid will continue to shift (no-brainer that.)

Cool story bro. 25 states have worse per capita death rates and Florida’s been open, living like actual human beings. 7 day average deaths in FL are at 58. Last year this time they were close to 200. You should turn of Chris Hayes for a while. I suspect he’s really just Rachel Maddow anyway.

I don’t watch Tv, don’t follow the S&MNBC windbags in any way. All entertainment muck, that stuff.

Floodiridia is a very high population State, lots of body bags and Long Covids. And DeSantis is trumper-liteweight. I hope he runs for Prez and gets smooshed.

They run the fake test at different frequencies for GMO humans as opposed to actual humans… Machievelli wrote 500 years ago If i can control a mans fear i am the master of his soul… May what there is of humanity hold out and not give an inch to the satanic evil beyond any in human history its very dark and it will get much worse But humanity will win in the end And the GMO humans will die like flies hit with a can of raid Nature bats last and its gonna be swinging a really big club

Right, everyone can go camp away from everyone else. For a year.

Sometimes ‘organic’ is just another word for ‘ Cant understand basic science, so I’ll pretend to be ‘natural’.

Wow.

When people are cremated, are they cremated with fire or from fire?

How ridiculous is the position to make from this type of argument.
