I would be interested to see a copy of one of these letters.

Have people decided to use readily available surveillance technology to attempt a protection racket scheme against our community? Are cannabis farms the target? If so, are the targets permitted, traditional, or both?

In further news the County of Humboldt has issued a statement condemning these letters.
Stating “how dare someone else send threatening letters” The official response from the county is that only they are allowed to threaten and harm people and they would like to maintain the monopoly on intimidation and illegal racketeering.

Yeah I also got one of those a few years ago a week before Christmas for growing tomatoes. The conn artists even printed my name in the paper and tried to get me to pay $20,000 dollars a day and their staff fees. The return address said Humboldt County Building and Planning.

A copy of the letter would be helpful – no recipient names need to be divulged.
All the sharks and predators are coming out in force these days.

Got a letter similar to this 30 years ago in Bonny Doon. Old scam, but then again, memories fade. Call Congress, they’ll fix it.

“We denounce these letters as fraudulent. They preempted the real ones coming in October and November.”
