If the person tried to climb down the cliff behind Wedding Rock he will never make it. Hopefully he did not drop into the ocean or rocks below. Strange that the person that reported it is no where to be found. Lots of folks walk out onto Wedding Rock and they really don’t belong there. It is an extremely dangerous place especially if you like to play climbing games. Our Coast Guard just plain rocks. Thank you to all for risking your life to try and save one. If this was a joke it sure as hell is not funny!!!
the report says north of Agate beach so that would not be wedding rock (to the south), just the crumbly cliffs I would guess closer to the Big Lagoon side of that beach.
A lot of assumptions going on from you. Were you there?
Wedding Rock is 1-2 miles South of Agate Beach, nowhere near the victim’s location.
I took my Wedding Rock comment from the picture that shows the marker and says Wedding Rock. Hope they have found the person. Strange that the person who called it in was nowhere to be found when help arrived.
Our rescue crews are placed in danger, their families are worried, it cost the county money, we may have to replace equipment. We barely have enough crews to fight the fires. It stresses out our medical facilities that are treating unvaccinated people and people not wearing mask.
Rescue crews literally get payed to rescue people. They train hard and do their job well knowing it’s dangerous. They do it because they want to save lives not because they have to.
Kym is antivax.
Kym, is it true you’re anti Covid Vax?
Of course not. Anonymous commenters that change their names at will can say anything. However, absurd.
As I like stars says below—my family has all been vaccinated. I’ve done ads recommending that people be vaccinated. My comments all reflect that I think vaccination is the way to go. But someone says something absolutely verifiably false that I didn’t think it worth my while to correct, and still rather than trust the obvious facts, the guy manages to stir up doubt.
It’s a crazy time we live in.
Is that why she has shared that she and her family have been vaccinated? Is that why she recommends others get vaccinated? C’mon man!
I am the person that called 911 and stayed on the phone with the sheriff’s department. I stayed on the beach at the location of the man and did not leave. The helicopter flew over me 3 times and went opposite direction with me waving my arms in the air. He had been there already A-day before I heard him calling for help. He was very lucky I heard him because it was the stretch of the beach where nobody is, It was about a 1/2 a mile North of Agate Beach towards big lagoon beach. I’m very curious if he had injuries or what extent they were because he couldn’t walk.
Christy, This is my news site and I’d love to talk to you about what happened. My email is [email protected]
I emailed you
I just saw that. Thank you.
Thank you for that, I happened to be there too and wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, but was able to get close enough to record the rescue.
Christy, you’re a winner. Thank you. Good job!
Thank you Christy for caring and doing the right thing.
I was there and have video of the person being rescued by the Coast Guard, I heard that the person was stranded there overnight.
