A Round Valley resident told us they saw over 25 law enforcement personnel at the location.
Today’s enforcement operation comes in the wake of last week’s significant marijuana bust in Round Valley that occurred on July 21, 2021. In early July, two separate occurrences of gunfire resulting in significant injuries prompted Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office to ramp up enforcement efforts in the valley.

So gun violence is what it takes to bust a 100 hoop grow in Covelo, yet they busted someone with 9 plants somewhere else in mendo already?
This is something that should be happening more frequently in Round Valley, whether or not gunfire took place at the site previously or not. Your attempt at “whataboutism” doesn’t change that a bit.

Why do they need to be promoted to ramp up enforcement…..all that talk last winter of stepping up enforcement in covelo……

Valleys going to get a lot looser too. Lotta folks going to get some stimulus payments that are around three thousand bucks in the next week or so. That’s a decent little chunk of change to buy some new weapon or whatever so let’s see what happens next. Get your popcorn ready. It’s really insane how they keep going back to Biggar Lane and doing these gigantic busts. After the accidental murder of the one guy, the kidnapping of the other one, the bust by the health center, the one 2 weeks ago and here is yet another one. HEE HAW DANG! They could probably spend all summer on Biggar!!!

That is the question that we should all be asking MCSO…Seeing as this has been blowing up in Covelo for years w/ zero police action it does beg the other, larger question- “Just what is the relationship between the huge grows in Covelo and the MCSO”?
The sheriff should be selling the illegal cannabis on the legal market. If it’s not close enough to make flower sales juice it for oil. It’s ridiculous that this county throws away billions then has the law abiding citizens pay for them to do so. Just with the seizures this year the sheriff could have paid all his deputies and subsidized the legal farms to bottom out the black market. When the price hit 500 tons of them dropped like flies. Give us a tax break and do something that will work. Kendall won’t be unopposed in his next election I promise!!
that is not realistic for many reasons, leo makes way more dodey from uncle sam being the main one. the sheriffs office cant sell untested random half processed and wouldnt profit from it anyway because cost of processing is so high and distro to retail takes a huge chunk. the sheriffs office does help keep blackmarket prices high but for how much longer. the industry is committing suicide anyway via corporate buyouts and over production. taxifornia will never give you a tax break it will just break you with taxes
It isn’t going to take the sheriff to crash the market. It crashed! Anyone getting a decent ticket right now should be thankful because it’s about to end. Give it another week and the product will sit there. Bummer for the people who planted late and only getting one pull. Not sure how people will pull this off, but it seems every year they do. 🤣🤣🤣 I have a way different opinion on market I guess or maybe being legal and corporate helps 🤣🤣🤣. Why you illegal farmers can’t make it at five hundred is because I’m 80% more efficient. Even at the current tax rate I still profit 200 a lb at 5 so boo hoo it’s farming and it still has the highest margin per square foot than any other crop you can grow. Learn biology learn mycology ever herd of growing you’re own fertilizer? You can’t throw money at pesticides or ridiculous fertilizer regiments it won’t work and you will go broke!! We are seeing the weed out of the inefficient farmer and it’s actually hilarious to hear you all gripe!! Most of you will be crushed by the drop in price an the lack of knowledge goo riddance. Literally my 10k costs 21k to run I don’t process or trim so no cost there. I don’t waist money on bs petroleum based fertilizer I pull algae and pike minnows out of the river and grow cover crops this saves me another 30k by reusing the waste all you illegal farms are producing it’s cutting my cost so please go buy more grow more!! If most of you so called growers knew anything you could use you’re greed to clean up you’re mess. But you won’t so when you’re broke and have no land and I’m getting grants and subsidies for my environmental remediation plan don’t hate. This time has been coming for twenty years. So you have a permit with fish and wildlife to pull fish and algae out of the river? I really really doubt it. I hope someone turns you in ASAP. Are you using a net as well?
Some of that algae is toxic and those chemicals will by taken up by the plants.
