Press release from the County of Humboldt:

Eighteen new cases of COVID-19 and one new hospitalization of a person in their 60s have been reported in Humboldt County today. The total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus now stands at 4,989.

Citing the increased spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today revised its masking guidance to recommend that all people, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask indoors in public in areas of substantial or high virus transmission, which includes Humboldt County.

If a vaccinated individual’s household includes vulnerable individuals such as young children or those who are immunocompromised, the CDC advises indoor masking in public settings whatever the level of transmission. In order to limit the spread of Delta, the CDC also recommended that fully vaccinated individuals with symptoms and those who are exposed to a person known or suspected to have COVID-19 get tested.

CDC’s recommendations are based on preliminary evidence indicating that while vaccinated people infected with the Delta variant of COVID-19 are unlikely to become severely ill from the virus, they can spread it to others. Read more about the recommendations at cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html.

Today’s announcement follows Humboldt County Public Health’s recent recommendation that local residents wear a mask in indoor public places to protect against spread of the highly contagious Delta variant.

Vaccination continues to be the best protection against severe illness and death from COVID-19. Vaccines are available at Public Health vaccination clinics and most local pharmacies. Walk-ins are welcome at all Public Health clinics, or sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov. See the clinic schedule for the next seven days below.

Here we go… Biden administration Just cast doubt on the efficacy of the vaccines.

Mask up? Get the jab? Both? Who fucking knows.

Where’s mommy?

In the meantime, it’s just a respiratory disease that 96.4% will overcome.

We could go back to the tRump days of “I want to see everyone in church for Easter” ( Easter 2020).
HaHa. Bottom line is they are making it up as they go. Doesn’t matter which party is in the White House.
Every person needs to make their own choices, based on what they think is best for themselves.

I was in church Easter of 2020. And Easter of 2021.

These authoritarian fucks will never tell me what I can or can’t do. From either party.

I’m a free man and I’ll do as I please. These politicians need to fear us.

Higher gas prices under Biden is a major right wing media talking point.
As if Biden could magically lower them but refuses to do so.
They never talk about Trump bilking his loyal cult 45 out of millions to “stop the steal”. Watch FOX and Newsmax sometime, you will see where they get their bs from. It’s hilarious entertainment.

Wonder what Fauci bought stock in before the CDC guidelines changed?

Wonder how much longer they can convince the public that this is such a dangerous disease?

Terrorism is social hygiene. The CDc and the WHO have an agenda. And it’s not going to save your life.

Those are pretty severe symptoms. When it went through our household the child was down for about 3 days, wifey was laid up in bed for 3 days and then pretty worn out for another 3, I was bed ridden for a day and then had extreme muscle pain in my hip and low back that made it hard to walk for a week, and the housemate was down for 10 days solid.

If say your symptoms are slightly on the high side of average

Me

Yep, the symptoms of the virus range from asymptomatic to death. If you want to roll the dice , go for it. Getting the jab is also a roll of the dice . Have a few friends from both camp that have wildly different experiences with both scenarios. Some with the jab said it was fine, no side effects, others say they haven’t felt the same since. Same thing happens earlier in the year when a few others tested positive for covid.

Make your own choice

If they can force us into the lockdowns like last spring once again, it is our own fault. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice…well that’s my shame. No doubt people can find a way to rationalize more restrictions and lockdowns, but the cost benefit analysis is very skewed. This approach to a pandemic if full of hubris.

Won’t hurt me to miss a few meals, that’s for sure. And yeah, you’re right. We all have things we struggle with and I’m humbly blessed more than others.

So how can we get to a more common ground? Seems like everything divides us nowadays.

On this topic, I’m vaxxed. Personal choice…. Or maybe Pavlovian reflex. Military told us to get our shots, whether we wanted them or not, so I’ve just kept getting them, although I’m not comfortable with the fact that it’s experimental. But I don’t encourage others to get it. It’s a personal choice and I respect that choice. I really feel that the CDC changed course because they’re privy to data about the efficacy of these vaccines and they’re not sharing that data with us. And I will not stand by and let more of my friends and family lose their businesses for another round of shutdowns. And many friends and family are in total agreement with me. As long as LEO doesn’t enforce this new round of mandates, sure as rain in Winter, no assigned government peon is going to interfere with our livelihoods.

In Humboldt 5% of those tested have tested positive. 5000 out of 100,000 tests in a year and a half. Not sure how many tested twice. The County has 135,000 people. So 3.7 % of our residents have tested positive in a year an a half. I don’t know how that compares to the flu rates during the same time.
Each “vaccine” has not been fully approved by the FDA. We don’t know how many of the latest positive tests were of vaccinated people but there must be some due to the changing “guidelines”.
There has been no testing or at least no public results published on the effect of a vaccine on the folks who have recovered from covid.
Masks work or don’t work depending on which Fauchi clip you watch. How he still has a job I have no idea.
If there were anti body tests more available and those results published and there was more consistency from those supposedly in charge we could be working together. But this administration has caused a radical loss in trust. Maybe even on purpose.
There has always been some distrust of government but we are seeing a whole new level now.
