Ferndale icon Guy Fieri collabs with multi-platinum band American Authors

In the latest podcast episode of Humboldt Last Week
Former Ferndale Wildcat and current Food Network star Guy Fieri has teamed up with the New York alternative pop band American Authors, best known for their hit “Best Day of My Life,” for a remix of their song “Nice and Easy.”
The new summer jam with several Guy-enhanced bass drops also features Sugar Ray frontman and ‘90s staple Mark McGrath, who once played the Arcata Community Center with Dirty Heads in the late 2000s.

Mr. Fiere is a celebrity in a time when celebrity is cheap. Thrilled for his success and love his local roots but not an Icon.
An icon of Ferndale would have been Hobart Brown. He did much more to push lifeblood
into Ferndale than anyone before and since the founding of the little dairy town.
SO NOT TRUE. GUY IS GREAT AND INTERESTED IN HIS OLD FAMILIAR HOME TOWN AND HAS HELPED MANY.VERY GENEROUS WITH HIS TIME AND FINANCES AND JUST A GOOD KID. VIOLA MCBRIDE WAS THE BEGINING AND HEART AND SOUL BEHIND THE REBIRTH OF THE TOWN OF FERNDALE. SHE BROUGHT ABOUT THE CHANGES AND ENTICED PEOPLE LIKE HOBART TO COME HERE. HOBART WAS TALENTED BUT VERY SELF SERVING ALSO.
A lot of folks who never actually met Hobart have opinions. Some people who knew him had opinions too. Unfortunately, many of those opinions were shaped by jealous haters. The poor man is dead now, after 25 years of horrible pain from rheumatoid arthritis. He gave much to many. Let’s no one speak ill of the dead.

Dude had his security push me out of the way at his Burger Bar in Vegas a couple days after my hip was replaced. He never broke stride even when a dude on Crutches is pushed away . He will never be good in my book. I would pay for his DNA test as it will not come out with more than 24% or less Italian , I’d bet less then 10%.
I’m not sure bieng out on the town in Vegas is the best PT after major surgery, but point taken.
