Looking for a Home for This Handsome Bully

Information provided by the current dog foster home:

Carter is a three year old bully mix – maybe a little Dogo in there. He is a real homebody. He loves to be in his familiar surroundings with people he knows. He has been very good with children that he has met.
High prey drive makes him a poor candidate for a home with cats, birds or livestock. He spent a week in a home with a small elderly dog and a medium sized dog, both female and neither interested in playing and he did fine, though he has been very happy in a home where it is just him.

He’s great on the leash, knows many tricks and obedience skills and can play a good game of fetch. This sweet, loving big boy just needs a calm stable home. Do you have that home for him? Adoptive home preferred but foster would help for the interim.

“High prey drive”? That means finding an owner who not only has no livestock but will ensure he won’t go after other’s stock too.

High prey drive isn’t a bad thing. It can be tempered and trained. I have a pit that has an extremely high prey drive, I trained her and now she helps round up my chickens whenever their free range gets too free and keeps all the other livestock on the property.

I used to have a pit that looked exactly like this one, such a good boy.

Absolutely gorgeous pup! Hope he finds his forever home soon and thank you redwood pals for helping him! A fenced in yard and some quality belly and back rubs and he will be good to go!
