[UPDATE 7:55 p.m.] Structure Burning North of Ettersburg

A structure is reportedly burning in the 4100 block of Wilder Ridge Road as of around 6:20 p.m. This is north of Ettersburg.

Smoke can be seen rising in photos.

Firefighters are being dispatched.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m.:  A firefighter from one department that we haven’t determined is at the scene of the fire. One structure is on the ground, he said. He added that there was a threat to the wildland.

Telegraph Fire is responding to the fire as is a helicopter from Calfire.

UPDATE 7:01 p.m.: Residents who saw the initial smoke are reporting that the smoke is lessening. Cal Fire copter is at scene.

UPDATE 7:11 p.m.: The fire is near the Honeydew Fire Station.

UPDATE 7:34 p.m.: The Copter has been released from the scene.

UPDATE 7:42 p.m.: The copter went to Honeydew and then returned to the fire scene.

UPDATE 7:55 p.m.: The copter has now headed north and appears to be heading to the Kneeland airport.

A little before 7 this evening, i heard emergency vehicles with sirens and horns blasting, rushing south through the Cooskie/Grange (New Jerusalem) area. I hope this fire is where they were going!
