Different century, same disease. Always wanting to fix the ills of the world with government regulations, social pressure and money. Always willing to sacrifice individuals for programs, always going too far or not far enough and never understanding where it went wrong.

I wonder what will be the failures charged up to this season’s Progressives? Whose statues will they vandalize and remove? Will Gates, Bezos and Zuckerman be this century’s Carnegie, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt? Will it be acknowledged that Progressives seem to repeat the same scenarios of declaring the rich to be an evil that need to be controlled while only snatching at the skirts of the modestly successful, holding them back from competing with the big players while the really rich donate to Progressive politicians to make sure they don’t suffer? Will huge fortunes be made again by milking the Progressive lawmakers for favorable policies like unrestrained immigration that feeds the money machines while making labor poorer and poorer? Will they achieve universal health coverage by making health care so burdened by regulations and limitations that it manages to kill more people than it ever has before? Will education become equal for all but equally bad?

The guy in charge now referred to a 29 year old Japanese national sports hero as “boy” just a few months ago.

Certainly in the last 80 years the names have changed. Other things too. Instead of openly displaying their racism, they are now projecting it on to others and using it to sow division. Sadly, it seems to be working pretty well.

As I have said before, the US two party political system is a sham. How many of the key players on both sides come from exactly the same circles? You may think I need a tin foil hat, and that is fine. I have watched for years now as the same few divisive issues have been used to distract the masses while a few fat cats line the pockets of themselves and their families and friends. It is not Democrats. It is not Republicans. It is not Liberals or Conservatives. It is all (or nearly all) professional politicians.

True story. Today’s progressive-racists have their own monuments of a more recent construction. Consider: project housing, fatherless households, welfare, foodstamps,
and the criminal-judicial-prision complex.
