Wubby, Where Are You…?
One lost bunny and one lonely, little boy need help to reunite. Yesterday, June 9, Christopher, his bunny, Wubby, and their family headed north to Oregon, but Wubby didn’t get there.
“We were traveling from Pepperwood to Brookings, OR and we only stopped in Ferndale, Elk Meadow Day Use area to use bathrooms, and then on the road south of the landslide [Last Chance Grade] for an hour, stopped in traffic,” explained Christopher’s mom, Camille.
“This is Christopher’s most treasured possession and we’ve been sick over not knowing where [Wubby] might be,” she added.
“Last night was hard,” she told us.
If you have any information, please contact Camille at (805) 252-8326.
People are passing the story on in hopes of uniting Christopher with Wubby. As one woman told us, “Today is a good day for a tiny miracle.”
If you don’t know where Wubby is, you can still help by sharing this post and by reacting to it on Facebook.

”I know it’s not the traditional lost dog, but I have kids who need their lovies to sleep……. It was lost between Ferndale and Brookings”

”Ok, this is a very long shot but this little guy, Wubby is his name, was lost somewhere on our way to Oregon yesterday. Does anyone have connections to the Parks department in the Redwoods State park or the town of Ferndale? Well…sort of. I called Camille. She happily gave me permission to use the information she had posted on the site, I should have linked to it and I will now. But, I originally got it from a repost elsewhere so I didn’t think of linking to it…though I should have.
Still, if you’ll look carefully, you’ll see one sentence she added that wasn’t on the site.
Sorry I hadn’t seen that
No, thank you for posting this. It woke me up to the need to post links.
Where in pepperwood?
Check every nook & cranny in the car…especially if it cldve slipped into the trunk from the backseat. Look in every bag, backpack, suitcase…
Try to find another one online…. my granddaughter has “Bunny” and “Peggy” ( a penguin)….we were lucky enough to be able to order replacements just in case….So hope you find your very important “family member”…..
Or tell Christopher that Wubby is playing with real bunnies in the redwoods now! Just like The Velveteen Rabbit…
That photo is heart wrenching. Reminds me too much of The Velveteen Rabbit!
On a trip with my Grandma , I had somehow left my beloved Bun-Buns in a motel room, and I didn’t realize until we were hours gone 😭 Grandma called the motel once we got home and they kindly mailed Bun-Buns back to me. I’m only going as far north as Eureka today but I’ll definitely be watching the road closely ❤️
Screw it I’m going to Ferndale today and look for it, I’m in eureka its not far if it’s there I’ll find it .. we moved from Santa Barbara to Fortuna when I was 9 ans I left my teddy bear cuddles at a rest stop mom wouldn’t go back I’m 48 and I still miss that damn bear….. I’m going looking ……
