[UPDATE 8:29 a.m.] Fire at a Business in McKinleyville

Structure Fire feature iconMultiple agencies are responding to a commercial structure fire at 1500 City Center Road in McKinleyville as of about 8 a.m., according to the scanner.

Besides McKinleyville, Humboldt Bay Fire, Trinidad, Blue Lake and Samoa have all been dispatched to the incident.

UPDATE 8:29 a.m.: Crews are making access to the roof, according to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner. Some resources are being cancelled which is usually a sign the fire is being controlled.

UPDATE 8:47 a.m.: Oliver Cory, our reporter, was on the scene and caught these photos.

Linc- good question! I hope that is camera fish-eye. Otherwise, somebody needs to bring a large crane and prop that baby back up.

Crane? Heck, the fire crew are there with their big-boy ladder. Pay them to straighten it. They could use the dime. But, yea, probably fish-eye lens.

I’m surprised it hasn’t been removed, burned, or defaced since its offensive to someone, somewhere, somehow.
