[UPDATE: Road Clear] Ambulance Requested Code 3 for Incident Involving Wrong Way Driver on Hwy 101 North of Redway
Traffic control is in place on southbound Hwy 101 north of Redway and an ambulance was requested to respond Code 3 (with lights and siren) after a incident involving a wrong way driver, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.
The incident began about 10:05 p.m., according to the CHP page. And is still ongoing as of 10:41 p.m. At least one CHP officer is at the scene investigating confused reports of a driver of the wrong way vehicle out of their own vehicle and attempting to enter another driver’s vehicle.
The CHP page is now reporting that no injuries occurred. However, the page reports there is a Honda Civic with a blown out left front tire and Caltrans QuickMap shows traffic is moving slowly through the area for both directions of travel.
Please drive carefully through the area.
