Sheriff’s Office Names New Corrections Lieutenant

Correctional Sergeant Chelsey Camilli
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the promotion of Correctional Sergeant Chelsey Camilli to the rank of Sheriff’s Lieutenant. In her new role, Lt. Camilli will oversee all personnel working in the Correctional Facility housing units.
“Lt. Camilli has exemplified the mission of the Sheriff’s Office through her compassionate and professional service as a Correctional Sergeant,” Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal said. “I am excited to have Lt. Camilli on our leadership team to assist with bringing innovative solutions to the ongoing challenges within the Correctional Facility.”
Lt. Camilli began her career with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office in 2008 as a Correctional Deputy in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. Lt. Camilli was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2019 and began her new role as Lieutenant today, May 17, 2021. Camilli is the first female to hold the Correctional Lieutenant title in the last 20 years for the facility.
“I feel very proud to be accepting this role with the Sheriff’s Office and I look forward to helping bring positive change and growth within our Correctional Facility,” Lt. Camilli said.
During her 13 years with the department, Lt. Camilli has been actively involved in community outreach and facility improvement projects. Lt. Camilli has been a member of the Sheriff’s Office Gang Resource Intelligence Team (GRIT) since 2018, and in her new role will become the team’s commander. She has also been an active member of the Sheriff’s Office’s Recruitment Team and Social Media Outreach Team. In her free time, Lt. Camilli has also lent a hand at the county’s Animal Shelter as a volunteer Animal Care Attendant.
The Sheriff’s Office looks forward to Lt. Camilli’s continued leadership in her new role and extends a heartfelt congratulations.

I went to to the Humboldt jail once. Ben Donne was the new head of corrections. That pice of crap cut the calories down to bare minimum. Please feed more than that sorry person did. He was my neighbor in willow creek. Once all the bullshit was out and they were sorry I asked ole Ben about it Hehe. He ran back into his house and would never look at me again. Please remember some folks don’t belong in there.
H.B. Doane didn’t personally cut the calories. An inmate filed a writ complaining the calories were too few so a study was conducted and it was determined Humboldt County was giving inmates way too many calories, leading to the decreased meal size.
Doane was an asshole, no doubt. Easy for me to say as he made it clear to me he was no fan of mine. But inmates playing games with the legal system burned all their peers. It’s not fair to put that on him or the HCSO.

How ever the slime ball still knows what he did and must feel guilty about it because he can’t look a man in the eye His poor little wife had to live with this hunk of work also. She was a sweet lady.
