Yesterday, about 3:30 p.m., Eureka Police, assisted by the California Highway Patrol, arrested Dustin Howard, age 30 years old, at gunpoint in connection with a stolen U-Haul truck.

According to Eureka Police Department’s Captain Patrick O’Neill, “A patrol officer observed a stolen U-Haul truck traveling northbound on Broadway. A felony car stop was conducted in that parking lot and the sole occupant of the vehicle was ultimately taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle, along with an unrelated warrant without incident.”

O’Neill told us that Howard “was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. The vehicle was released back to the owner.”

Looks like U-Haul’s yourself right on to jail. Thank you to the eagle eyed EPD officer for spotting the stolen U-Haul and assistance from the CHP. Great job guys!

If you’re going to steal a vehicle, steal a U-Haul. They’re really hard to spot!🤣😂🤣👍
