When I drove past around 8:10, Kenmar was blocked to westbound traffic (can’t access the freeway). It is probably closed to eastbound traffic at the freeway. Saw a lot of police SUVs, assumed the accident was closer to the railroad tracks.

Drove by at about 6:42 pm. There were no ambulances yet, just about 5 police vehicles and about 12 personal vehicles. I looked down in the ditch and the car was laying on it’s left side (Driver’s side). There was someone taking pictures of the vehicle. The right side was face up and had major dents and scratches. Then I continued and seen the stop sign taken out from the Drake Hill Rd entrance to fortuna. I just hope everyone and every pet is healthy and ok.

If this was my dog hit the damn thing it’s not worth ur life, but we the owners should be responsible and keep our animals on a leash but out of public’s harm, now this person is in a spot that the dog should be in. But hell now a days he would of got convicted with our new justice system that’s trying to change our constitution!!!

You don’t know if the dog was in the vehicle or if it was in fact hit. Maybe don’t make assumptions…

What a sad soul some people have. But I’m sure you’re “worth it”.

As someone who was the victim’s friend, this is a terrible thing for you to say for her family and friends to read. The dog was in the vehicle. It was her dog. Seatbelt or not, my friend is still dead [edit]

To “owners fault”- this was my niece. How dare you make such comments. We do know what occurred. Our grieving family and my niece’s friends do not need to see your uninformed, ignorant comments. Think before you type!

I read that there were two people in this vehicle and one was killed. Are there any updates?

I am sorry the person(s) had and accident and was ejected out of the vehicle. If they are alive it is by pure luck. Not wearing your seatbelt is really stupid and against the law. It only takes a second to buckle up, and this accident is a good example of what can happen when you don’t.

I saw the van crashing through the trees toward me, I saw the van in the air while it was airborne and rolling over. It landed right in the ditch, it didn’t even touch the street. I called 911 while people were running to the scene.

This was my niece. Her phone is missing. If anyone found it at the scene of the accident, please turn it over to the police department. There are so many precious photos our family would love to have back. Thank you.
