Notice of Closure of Harris Road at Alderpoint Road
Press release from the Humboldt County Department of Public Works:
The Humboldt County Department of Public Works will be repairing Alderpoint Road at the Harris Road intersection.
Harris Road will be closed at this location and motorists are asked to use Bell Springs Road as an alternate route.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 24, 2021, with a completion date in late July 2021.

The detour route is more than just a little confusing. Some clarification or a map would be helpful.
We thought the road was bad, but the repair sounds a little draconian.
P.S. Don’t blame Kym, she only prints the stuff the county supplies her.
Old Harris road is not going to hold up well… at least it’s not winter I guess.
