Trinity County to Conduct Two Mass Vaccination Clinics

Press release from Trinity County Public Health:

Trinity County Public Health Branch (TCPHB) will conduct two (2) COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Point of Distribution Sites (PODSs) over the next two weeks:

• • Weaverville on Friday May 14, 2021, 9AM to 1:00PM at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 109 Memorial Drive

• • Hayfork on Wednesday May 19, 2021 9:30AM to 12:00PM at the Trinity County Fairgrounds 6000 Hwy. 3.

Available vaccines at these PODS include second dose only Moderna and Janssen (J&J) “one and done” vaccine. Information on the safety and efficacy of Janssen vaccine can be found at https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/CDPH%20Document%20Library/COVID- 19/JnJ_factsheet.pdf

Registration for Janssen vaccine is currently open for both dates and walk-ins are welcome. Those 18 years of age and older will register at https://myturn.ca.gov/ or call the CA COVID-19 Hotline at 1-833-422-4255 (M-F 8AM-8PM, Saturday -Sunday 8AM-5PM) for assistance.

Not Eligible for Vaccination at TCPHB Mass Vax PODS:

 

• • Persons presenting for a second dose of Moderna who had an allergic reaction to their first dose of Moderna COVID-19 that resulted in itching, hives, chest tightening, swollen tongue, difficulty breathing, or anxiety.

• • Persons presenting for a Janssen vaccine that have a history of allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine resulting in any of the following:

• • • Hives,

• • • shortness of breath,

• • • swollen tongue,

• • • sought emergency medical attention

• • Pregnant women.

COVID-19 Vaccine cannot be given within 14 days of administration of ANY vaccine. Persons must wait until 14 days have passed since receiving ANY vaccine before COVID-19 vaccine can be administered.
