Man With Domestic Violence Restraining Order Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
Kyle Andrew Cohn
On 05-08-2021 at about 3:30 AM, Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance that occurred in the 100 block of Kawi Place in Willits, California.
Deputies responded and met with a 51 year-old female. Deputies learned the adult female had been reportedly assaulted by Kyle Cohn and that the couple resided together.
Deputies learned the adult female was in a vehicle as a passenger while Cohn was driving in the 100 block of Kawi Place.
Cohn suddenly became very agitated and started shouting at the adult female. Cohn grabbed the adult female by the face, throat and choked her for a brief moment. Cohn then grabbed her face again and started hitting her with his other hand.
The adult female was able to escape the vehicle in the 1200 block of Blosser Lane and flagged down a passing motorist who assist her in departing the area.
Deputies observed visible injuries to the adult female’s face. Deputies issued a local law enforcement “be on the lookout” (BOLO) for Cohn and searched the area however were unable to locate him that morning.
On 05-08-2021 at about 7.00 PM, Deputies located Cohn in the 100 block of Main Street. Deputies contacted Cohn and arrested him on the listed charges.
Cohn was on formal probation in Placer County and had a domestic violence restraining order issued where he was listed as the restrained person and the adult female being the protected party.
Cohn was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.

No. Kym cut off my comment. Anytime I say that we should consider eliminating anybody from the gene pool she thinks I mean by mob action. I think capital punishment should not only be brought back but expanded. Also forced sterilization should be considered – not by mob action, Kym! But by our society for guys like this and other abusive, violent offenders who should not be bringing more screwed up children into our overpopulated shit show. Kym is a big supporter of bleeding heart for everybody- what I call Misplaced Compassion. While I respect her I often clash with her on such values. At the moment her team’s values are winning and we are coddling abusers like they are victims as our communities go down the drain….This guy is a repeat and older Beater of Women. Older as in he has acted this way for many years and will not change (like we could hope for a younger asshole) Domestic Violence is closely linked to many other violent behaviors and needs to be addressed with serious consequences.
I delete anything advocating violence and that includes all but (clearly indicated in that particular comment) words advocating anything but main stream Capital punishment (no hanging, firing squad etc). No advocating forced sterilization in particular cases either. You can advocate for returning to hanging or to forced sterilization but only if it is clear this doesn’t reference the particular person. And even then I’m reading fast in order to cover hundreds of comments a day so might not want to come too close to the line.

Pretty sad. He grew up in Florida and Marin. Beautiful Badass surfer and good guy. He started going dark with alcohol years ago and everyone jumped ship. Looks like he upped his game…Meth is some nasty shit.

Read the article again. The victim did not have a RO against him.
The RO was from another victim in Placer County.
