Truck and Motorcycle Collision off Hwy 101 South of Arcata
A motorcyclist was injured after a truck and motorcycle collided at the Bayside Cutoff from Hwy 101 just south of Arcata about 11:13 a.m. An ambulance was requested.
Traffic is backing up still as of 11:28 a.m.

My brother rides a suzuki. Does anyone know the color or type of bike??
The dispatch log on LoCo seemed to say it was red and the rider was wearing a helmet. I hope whoever the motorcyclist is is ok.
We passed by a few minutes ago. The bike looked like it was red.
It was a Honda. I drove by shortly after it happened
Just praying that the motorcycle rider is going to be fine. Bikes and trucks don’t mix well. It is motorcycle season people. Please keep an eye out for bikes when you are on the road.
The front end of the motorcycle was demolished. It looked like a CHP officer was talking to the rider that was laying on the ground.
