Thiefing turds stealing company and personal vehicles, tools, equipment, property and whatever they can get their greedy hands on is happening about every other day around here. Apparently, the chance or consequences of getting caught is well worth the risk. This makes me sick.

People work hard for what they have while others are allowed to run amuck and steal things they didn’t earn and don’t deserve repeatedly. If the turds are caught, they get a slap on the wrist and let loose back on the streets to do it again. There has to be a better solution.

Agreed. When there are no consequences then we are actually encouraging bad people to behave like this. Good people will not do this. But….that’s the reason for laws and law enforcement in the first place- to prevent bad people from running over the good people! Humboldt County justice system is a joke and it’s not funny…it will eventually result in vigilante action w/ drastic results.

Pretty sure the county jail is right in the middle of town, affordable housing isn’t for criminals, it is for working people who can’t afford local housing. Many of these people are parents and working citizens who simply need housing. Next time you go to a gas station or restaurant think about the wages these people are earning and imaging trying to rent a place and have any money left over for food, clothes, and bills not to mention health care and retirement planning.

April 23… arrested by Eureka Police. PC647(f)

(f) Who is found in any public place under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, controlled substance, toluene, or any combination of any intoxicating liquor, drug, controlled substance, or toluene, in a condition that they are unable to exercise care for their own safety or the safety of others, or by reason of being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, controlled substance, toluene, or any combination of any intoxicating liquor, drug, or toluene, interferes with or obstructs or prevents the free use of any street, sidewalk, or other public way.

Then… he was let go.

Probably let go today too.
