Woman Arrested in Stabbing of Two Juvenile Relatives

Information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office:
On April 21, 2021, at about 8:50 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 1800 block of Buhne Drive in King Salmon for the report of a possible stabbing with two injured juvenile victims.
While responding to the incident, deputies received information that a 29-year-old female was currently at a gas station on the 4100 block of Broadway Street in Eureka, brandishing a knife. Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to the gas station and detained the female. Upon further investigation, law enforcement learned that the female had been provided transportation by a motorist to the location from King Salmon. Based upon information obtained, the female was determined to be the suspect of the incident in King Salmon.
Meanwhile, at the residence in King Salmon, deputies located two juvenile males, ages 11 and 7, with significant laceration injuries. The juveniles were transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment and are in unknown condition at this time. The juveniles have been confirmed to be related to the suspect.
This incident is still under investigation and more information will be released when available.

Are you suggesting Eureka has some kind of unique form of government policies? What specific Eureka policy makes it worse than say Crescent City or Ukiah? Do you think Eureka is more “democratic”(lefty?) Than Arcata?

Thanks Dennis. If she’d been in, this might not have happened. Letting some of the inmates out due to covid might not be the best for the community.
Really have to ask? People not allowed to work, the local industry has collapsed, (again). We went from a foolish entertainer to mumbling bumbling fool as president, somehow we have been led into a race war, our country’s place in the world is collapsing and more.
Right Seamus, thanks for saying that. But it’s possible that some of these especially terrible crimes are caused by those that would have still been in, had they not been released early due to the pandemic.

Jury service is one of the most important civic duties an American can perform. The protection of rights and liberties in all courts largely is achieved through the teamwork of a judge and jury. Thank you Kim, it’s so eazy to say no. Once for me, twice thrown off.
It is really worth doing. It makes our system work (or at least stumble along)

I read the stabber was Daisy Leen. She has been on this site a few times.
“The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Daisy Mae Opal Leen, 29, of Eureka.Leen was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and inflicting injury upon a child, in addition to a warrant for her arrest on unrelated charges.”
Her mugshot has been in the paper. I hope somebody can keep the children safe.

The judicial system fails the people again, she was arrested last year and is a career criminal. The judge who sentenced her last time should be held accountable .

Doesn’t surprise me. No transparency in mental health..not at changing tides, open door nor the county…you have a problem with “Treatment” no one to go to; foxes watching the hen house and no matter many practitioners are well intended there is a reason Dr.s take an oath of “First do no harm” because they are in the position of power to do much damage – at least physical drs work in teams where phychiatraists and psychologists are basically lone entities with the only recall for problems being complaining to licensing …patients with the most money and connection get treated the best the rest go more and more mad and end up suicides, in jail or on drugs in the streets, usually some combination. As for all you tar and feather fans out there she was likely horribly abused and has not been able to get help or even mildly abused and unable to get help. OUR CULTURE IS SICK AS Fk. I was a victim of much abuse and torture and while I didn’t go on to hurt anyone else and broke my heart having abortions cause too scared to raise a child alone I know some people who were abused just a bit more or differently could go on to offend and they are not different from me from anything other than luck…even hard work, feeling how good it is depends on your experiences, experiences GIFTED to you. If you fall apart forget about it….no one in the community much cares….so long as you quietly hang yourself in your dwelling, don’t have children and don’t leave needles anywhere. If you have a job then you are considered safe…BTK killer had a job as did many other serial killers and yet we expect everyone to work at any job and if they do then they are considered go to go…no need for help. I lived near her for a while. She’s not exactly mentally ill, she’s more like a self absorbed demon. I didn’t think she would go this far but I also can’t believe someone would leave any kids around her at all. I hope those poor boys survive and have a safe place to go.

She’s been in and out of jail, I know for a fact 100% she is extremely mentally ill she was supposed to go to a mental institution in napa multiple times… The judge should have sent her to napa along time ago.. the mental health system in this county is flawed to say the least but because the court systems negligence has not sent her to where she needs to be it seems like they have contributed to the health and safety of the innocent children who have to pay the cost.
