Rural Residents Across the State Are Restricted From Viewing/Scheduling Vaccine Appointments

After a batch of over 1000 vaccines had to be shipped to the Bay Area from Humboldt County because requests for appointments to be vaccinated for COVID-19 unexpectedly plummeted last week, many rural residents expressed dismay as they were signed up but hadn’t been notified of any available.

Humboldt County Public Health investigated the situation. “We have heard anecdotally about some delays involving My Turn [the statewide vaccination appointment site] reaching back out to people who tried to get an appointment before vaccine was widely available,” Heather Muller, the public information officer for the Humboldt County Joint Information Center told us. “We set up test appointments to see if this was true, and in fact we did see delays, although these started to clear on Friday after we brought the issue to My Turn’s attention.”

In addition, they discovered that the vaccine appointment site was “geofencing some zip codes,” she explained. This restricted rural residents who lived more than 40 miles from a vaccine clinic site from seeing available appointments and consequently kept them from getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

This meant that the number of rural residents apparently wanting the vaccine was being artificially reduced. In particular, Humboldt County realized that SoHum residents were affected. But, as they wrote in a press release, “This limitation has affected many, if not all, rural California counties, and local Public Health officials are addressing it directly with the state.”

Our local Public Health has created a workaround for local rural residents. They wrote in the press release,

Until the state resolves the issue, when prompted to “Enter your address or zip code,” county residents should enter only “Humboldt County” on the “Let’s Find an Appointment” page of the My Turn website, the third page of the appointment scheduler. This means residents will input “Humboldt County” in two different places.

Anyone with questions can call the state’s COVID-19 Hotline at 1-833-422-4255 or call the Humboldt County Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000.

There are alternatives to My Turn, as well. Walk-in vaccination hours are scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at the Arcata Community Center, which is located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Pkwy. Also, the federal government supports scheduling vaccinations at local pharmacies through https://vaccinefinder.org/.

In addition, Humboldt County is working on bringing vaccines to rural areas. “[O]ur Vaccine Task Force is working with our SoHum Public Health Nurse to take a mobile vaccine resource to hard-to-reach areas such as Honeydew, Alder Point, Phillipsville and Bridgeville,” Muller told us. “Expect to hear more about that.”

She also pointed out, “[T]here are alternatives to My Turn as well. Phelps and Redwoods Rural are still vaccinating, and there is a vaccine-finding tool from the federal government that supports scheduling for participating pharmacies. You can check that out at https://vaccinefinder.org/.”

Muller urged residents to “not wait for someone to contact you.” She pointed out, “While we continue to administer thousands of doses each week, many counties including Humboldt do currently have more vaccine supply than demand.”

Or, at least they have more vaccine than people have successfully managed to make appointments to get. Remember, as Public Health said in a press release yesterday, “Though My Turn is designed to provide notifications of upcoming openings, the best way to find an available appointment is to check the website regularly.” And look for other options.

If they’re doing this in all rural areas then that is a lot of “extra” vaccines in limbo.

Sorry, the rural areas are not signing up for your GMO/gene therapy cocktail because they know better. I bet the Hayfork fairgrounds will be a ghost town.
Tell me again about getting the covid after getting the shot …

Gain of Function – look it up! Our government decided they didn’t like it, so the coronavirus studies were moved to China. Cv19 sounds like they gained the function of respiratory issues once contracted.

Trust the Science! Vaccines take over five years to develop safely – if you take this shot (which even the FDA is not calling a vaccine) then you are a willing guinea pig.

I’ll tell you they’re putting a very loved family member of mine into the ground today because of your “fake”Covid. Rural residents aren’t getting the vaccination because they think they’re “special”, that they’re some sort of rebels against the “gov’ment” as that’s way more important than any logic. Of course that and the words spewing from a reality tv star’s mouth, ya know the one who already got himself vaccinated. It’s too bad some will die needlessly because of the “intelligence” (did somebody just say lack there of?) of these rural rebels but the positive is we could use a LOT less of that type mentality in general so maybe it’s really a win/win situation in the end.

Hey! Hey! Both of you! Didn’t you read the article!? I’m in Honeydew, got vaccinated, but it was hard. I don’t feel “special” , and I don’t agree with the nonsense government conspiracy shit. READ THE FUCKIN ARTICLE! That is how a government works! It barely does. If they can’t let rural people book an appointment, how are they lead some complicated world take over by vaccine!?

What a lie! I did not say covid was fake – I believe they gained the function of regular coronavirus and mutated it. By the by, the man on TV that you take as God is making a LOT of money from this and is not a practicing physician, but is one of the highest paid members of the DC establishment. Number 45 is complicit in this and is only playing the part of the clown, both sides need a fall guy and he loved all the coverage you gave him – no such thing as bad publicity.

Was your family member given a choice of therapy? Because when actual doctors tried cheap and effective cures – that worked, lots of evidence has been removed from the internet (WHY? And why aren’t you asking why?) – they were squelched by the 24 Hour Hate Machine (we’ve moved on from Orwell’s short Two Minutes to unending hate and fear being broadcast at us continuously …)

***Without choice there is no freedom***

The constitution grants you freedom – not safety.

If any of you really wanted America to be great going forward, you would have voted for Tulsi, not the racist stooge (a lot of videos to prove it) we have in the Oval giving our jobs (lots of votes he made prove it) and country away to Xi and company …

But, by all means, please don’t let me stop you from placating your fears with an unproven “cure-all” (that doesn’t really cure anything) and which killed all animals in previous tests and hasn’t even been through a rigorous review process.

Trust the Science!

And oh ya, I have the same medical degree as B&M Gates. The computer virus guru – lolololololololololo

And don’t forget, the United States is not a country – we’ve been sold out for 150 years, we are the Corporation if the United States since 1871.

One example:

Can’t, with certainty, verify. I’ve read similar statements. Fwiw.

Everyone who has “died of Covid” died of something else. They had underlying conditions, very poor health, were elderly, etc. No healthy human would die of this simple strain of the flu. The real president is in his seventies, had it and was fine. People in their eighties and nineties have shrugged it off (if in good health). This is a total fraud on the public and unconstitutional violation of our God-given rights as free people. Big Pharma and Big Tech and the Medical Industrial Complex all profit off mass fear. Every website shilling the experimental gene therapy that is in no way, shape or form a “vaccine” is guilty of not only fake news but fraud and negligence. As we have seen from the jury nullification, O.J.-style verdict just in from BLMeapolis, this is all about destroying the traditions of America and its patriots. This has nothing to do with health but everything to do with control. The people in charge, including the local low IQ politicians, are traitors to a man and woman. Traitors all.

They’ve admitted over amping testing, for one.

People dying in car wrecks being among your 3MM count … Two.

People at 98 that would have died from pneumonia having their death attributed to CV19 and we’re supposed to feel that is for some reason far worse than if they did get pneumonia.

What happened to pneumonia this year? Oh right – covid cured it!

Are year over year deaths any different from the last half dozen?

~20 MM people died in 1918 in this amount of time.

There’s a reason to make up a new name with every comment. Or one person use several names to agree with each other. I admit, the reason is juvenile, so juvenile that it’s hard to believe people do it, but, indeed they do. It’s a silly game that serious trolls play. Because although they will claim that anyone that calls them on it is taking things too seriously, they in fact take thing so seriously that they feel compelled to play this game. It’s also gaslighting, a troll’s first line of “defense”. It’s so clear in these threads, and clear who always jumps in to say it isn’t true. Whoever is doing this actually doesn’t care that people know, they are deeply committed to “the game”.

Yes, the Spanish Flu epidemic was worse, although this one’s not done yet. The first couple of waves of that flu was not bad either. But covid’s a nasty illness which can have nasty long term effects, so if getting a vaccine with a far less chance of nasty side effects than the virus itself is available, it is a good choice.

There is nothing long term about any of this yet. How are so many of you ignorant of what the term “long term” means? You can’t even figure that out and yet we are supposed to believe that any of you have any sort of compelling argument or know anything of substance regarding “the science of COVID-19” but you don’t know what long term is. Long term, by standard medical definition long term side effects long term care etc., generally means 5 years, by financial standards, I.e. long-term bonds or cd’s, it’s 10 years.

My specific issue is allergies. I WANT the shot. This is unprecedented because I refuse Pharma consistently on the grounds that they have lots of additional “ingredients” which make it easier to measure doses and preserve the poisons.
I won’t drive after the shot. End of discussion. If I can’t drive back to my rural home, I can’t get the shot in this region.
IF there is a Mobile Unit, can I claim a dose of the J&J (fewer ingredients and only one exposure to them) to come to my doorstep? Will they hang out with me for an hour to make sure I don’t have a major reaction?
Likely, this won’t be a viable option, but I’d be up for it.

J&J will be back. I’ve been following this closely. It was just to double check, make sure the clotting isn’t a major issue. They pulled the Pfizer vaccine for a while to double check the reactions. It’s back on the market.
I’m really more concerned about the preservatives the vaccines contain. J&J has polysorbate 80 in it (and most of the rest of the ingredients are also preservatives) and that one makes me hallucinate, which is why I refuse to drive for a day or so after I get the shot. ONE shot because a second shot could trigger an auto immune response if it turns out I’m allergic to any of the unpronounceable ingredients listed with Moderna and Pfizer.
Really, I’m only looking at this because I need to travel.

That’s what happens with relying on anti vaxxers sites. A month late and a dollar short.

This was news 3 weeks ago when J&J caught the error before it was even bottled much less distributed. Or for that matter before that factory was even approved by FDA for manufacture. Good to have quality checks…

“In a statement to Nexstar, Johnson & Johnson said they have been performing “test runs and quality checks” at the plant, which they said is still awaiting authorization to “manufacture drug substance for our COVID-19 vaccine.” The company said the spoiled batch “was never advanced to the filling and finishing stages of our manufacturing process.””

So this facility that was “still awaiting authorization to manufacture drug substance for our COVID-19 vaccine” was mixing enough product to ruin 15 million doses?

I would say that the cover story of performing “test runs and quality checks” at the plant is a bit suspect. Sounds like they were full blown manufacturing………
