Robbers Impersonating Law Enforcement Tied Up a Cultivator and Took Cannabis and Cash in the Hayfork Area

Cannabis robberyCriminals impersonating law enforcement officers invaded a home in the Hayfork area of Trinity County. They stole cash and other property including cannabis, according to Trinity County Sheriff Tim Saxon.

Saxon explained that his department learned of the robbery about 8:50 a.m. He said the reporting party said the incident occurred several hours earlier. “The suspects were impersonating law enforcement officers and tied up the victims,” Saxon told us. “The suspects left the scene in two vehicles… .”

He said that none of the victims were seriously injured. “There are no suspects in custody at this time,” he told us. He added, “Anyone having information about the this incident, or the identity of the suspects are asked to contact the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office at 530-623-2611 and speak to a Detective.”

Still Better than the actual cops doing it. They didn’t shoot their dog and they don’t have a court date.

Better yet, go get an honest job and dont be a dirtbag dope grower, then you wont have to worry about it.

Brobro what is dishonest about cultivation? Please explain. Your insulting description of all “dope growers” as “dirtbags” is ignorant and simply disgusting. Also, there have been home invasions when no cannabis was involved. [edit]

Several years ago North of Covelo in Mendocino county there was a robbery like this where the robbers tied up the growers and sodomized them. Does anyone remember this; where it was, exactly? It seems it was 2 growers and 4 or more robbers. I do remember the phrase “sodomized repeatedly”, which is a rather frightening prospect. Still preferable to having ones dog shot, though.

Picking sodomy over dog getting shot? I’m sorry but I think the pup is gonna have to take one for the team. That’s just me though.

I would be interested to know if the victim was permitted. Having a public record of the locations of permitted farms provides a list of targets for thieves.

These stories need to be recorded for the historical aspect of a ganja grower. Legalization has not stopped extreme violence against farmers it seems.

Pot growing has metastasized, perverted by money, corporations, and pop culture. The old school needs to find a new way of making a living pretty damn quick. It’s sad to see Nor Cal going to shit from sleazebags of every stripe even as there is no clear new avenue for people born and raised, here for the country living, nature and their independent lifestyle often enhanced or supported by growing some reefer. This new “drop in from nowhere, Go Big while you can, grab the money, fuck the rest” attitude way smells. Just sayin”.
The “Green rush” has killed the Golden Age and is killing the Golden Goose, where does NorCal go from here to support the large herd of black sheep, the artists, musicians, the independent characters that have lived in the hills for generations? Or rather, how will they support themselves and not be a drag on local government? Most of that type of local just want to make a living out of the mainstream and be left alone, no handouts. NOW, pot is being mainstreamed, legalization has ratcheted up the all about money attitude and it is destroying any good culture evolved of generations of rural small growers.

What he said!…. spot on!
I’ll add, where did all the volunteerism go!
Even amongst old school black sheep, there was ethics, and some semblance of responsibility!

Not even one comment close to the truth. I will say that while the sheriff probably does not like people wearing fake gear this event isn’t isolated and cannot be stopped by TCSO.

Brobro so instead of thinking thats screwed up that someone that worked their ass off,put their money up, and is depending on that crop to support their family got ripped off. You go to shaming them and give no thought into how that affects them says alot about you. You don’t have to agree with it but without herb how does nor cal exist. You can’t live in the woods and drive down to town to work for the wages most jobs pay. It’s just not possible. So if you own the land why not be able to make a life on the land that you own. If you moved to the woods to get away from it all then get away from it and mind your own business and quit worrying about everyone else and what their doing
