Fundraiser for Humboldt Mediation Services
Press release from Humboldt Mediation Services:
Beloved local artist Jim McVickers has donated a wonderful oil painting as a fundraiser for Humboldt Mediation Services. We have less than two weeks left to spread the word. I urge you to please share this link to the online auction far and wide:Established in 1983, Humboldt Mediation Services (HMS) is a non-profit organization that promotes the peaceful resolution of conflicts in our community by providing the best possible services in mediation and facilitation with individuals and groups. Additionally, we foster education and training in communication and conflict resolution skills. As trained volunteers working with a general manager and case managers, we provide effective, affordable services. Our vision is that peaceful conflict management and resolution will be accessible to all members of Humboldt County’s diverse communities. For further information about HMS please see our website:Thank you for your help and service.Sincerely,Steve SpainHMS Boardmember

Humboldt Mediation Services is a great organization to support! They help being better resolutions (and consequently relations) to our community. I recently had the chance to look into their work, reached out and they have been amazing at their kind and regular follow up to see if I can use their help!
Am not too familiar with a bidding processes (like this). Looks like the starting, minimal bid is $500 and after 3 bids it’s up to $550. Right? Love Jim’s work. Plan to keep an eye on it!
I found a consequential typo Kym, but think it may be from Carl Johnson’s end.
Where it offers Jim’s website, it says jimmcvickerpants.com, instead of ….paints.com. Unless Jim has started selling a line of trousers, that is inaccurate. (Yeah. I looked on line and it is supposed to say ‘….paints’).
There’s nothing linking to McVicker’s site here, BR.
Correct. I should have been more clear. The spelling error in the displayed website to Jim’s website can be found if the (mid article) link is followed. That is why I think it is a problem on CJ’s end. Sad though that people who follow their link can’t get to Jim’s website, as they represent it can. (With more computer and algorithms creating content, in some ways I appreciate human errors. It’s somehow refreshing. lol).
I went looking and what a cool site. https://www.jimmcvickerpaints.com/
