Vandals Attack Former Santa Rosa Home of Defense Witness in Trial Over Homicide of George Floyd

Blood splattered handPress release from the Santa Rosa Police:

On Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at 3:07 a.m., Santa Rosa Police responded to a residence in west Santa Rosa that had just been vandalized. The victim called Santa Rosa Police after they were awakened by a group of subjects who threw a pig’s head on their front porch and splattered blood on the front of their house. The subjects, dressed in all black,  ran away as the victim called the police department.

Officers arrived to find the front of the victim’s house smeared with what appeared to be animal blood and a decapitated pig’s head near the front porch. Blood splattered doorThe vandalism to the victim’s house exceeded $400 making the crime committed by the suspects a felony vandalism.  The victim’s house was the previous residence of Mr.Barry Brodd.  Mr. Brodd recently testified for the defense in Minneapolis Police Officer Derrick Chauvin’s trial. It appears the suspects in this vandalism were targeting Mr. Brodd for his testimony. Mr. Brodd has not lived at the residence for a number of years and is no longer a resident of California. Because Mr. Brodd no longer lives in the city of Santa Rosa, it appears the victim was falsely targeted.

Approximately 45 minutes later, a large hand statue in front of the Santa Rosa Plaza mall was vandalized with a similar substance, suspected to be animal blood. The suspects also left a sign in front of the statue which had a picture of a pig and read “Oink Oink.” The suspects were seen fleeing the area and matched the descriptions of the suspects who vandalized the house.

Santa Rosa Police Chief Rainer Navarro issued a statement on April 13th  following Mr. Brodd’s testimony during the Derek Chauvin trial, and stated,  “Mr. Brodd’s comments do not reflect the values and beliefs of the Santa Rosa Police Department.” (View Chief Navarro’s April 13th statement: https://srcity.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1416)

The Santa Rosa Police Department is currently conducting further investigation to identify the suspects in these vandalisms. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that would assist with the investigation is encouraged to contact SRPD through our online Tip Line: www.srcity.org/CrimeTips.

Media inquiries may be directed to Lieutenant Jeneane Kucker at (707) 543-3573 or [email protected]. (SRPD case numbers 21-4053/21-4084.)Blood splattered house

I agree 2A.
Wholeheartedly.
It appears to be real blood.
The FBI should get involved right away.
These are some real sickos.
They should be prioritised.
There is no place in a civilized society for these types of
violations.

That being said, in regards to what they are protesting, it is all very disturbing.

Perhaps the innocent could be protected in the following way. Find a remote area of the world, or the US, and designate it a war zone, for those who have to act out their temper tantrums, and let them have at it. They may not use things that pollute, and must sign waivers to prevent lawsuits. Also, the results do not mean the “winner” can now impose their beliefs upon the rest of us, and we are allowed to use deadly force to protect ourselves if they decide they won, now they rule. This is just between those who hate each other, not us. Most people could care less about BLM, or Floyd, or any of the other bullshit social “justice” crap going on. We, the normal people of the world, have had it with assholes who decide they need to destroy our stuff because they claim to be fighting for their cause. To most of us their cause is theirs and is not embraced by t he rest of us. You assholes want to fight and destroy? Go somewhere where the rest of us are not involved. Because those people who have had their businesses destroyed, are getting real pissed, and sad to say, it will not be long when some idiots begin to riot, and shots will be fired by people protecting themselves and their way of life. So you social “justice” assholes take your bullshit ways and go somewhere away from us, and fight amongst yourselves, leave us alone. And as far as social justice is concerned, in a recent one year time period, 570 white people have been shot and killed by the police, no riots. Same time period, 240 Blacks have been shot by police. Many riots.

Kym Kemp, so calling people who tell me what I have to wear on my body “maskholes” is offensive and needs to be banned but calling communists stupid isn’t offensive to communists? Perhaps now you see why the rules are so confusing. Then again, perhaps not.

communists are not the most intelligent people. Nor is their sub standard life style. If you watched old news clips of eastern commie countries, you would see how superior capitalism is. There cars are shit, their food is lacking, the majority of people are poor or low income, and the very few polite beauro members have it all. And before you point out the homeless here, there are many reasons, political, that they live like they do. Look at the commies in Cuba, driving decades old cars, living in poverty. How often do you hear about Americans trying to get to Cuba? You don’t.

Time to make “hogs head cheese”

First: with vigor brush the pig’s teeth with a tooth brush and tooth paste.
Second: get a pot of boiling water to pour on the head.
Third: scrape off the hair and be careful due to the hot water.
Fourth: get a huge pot (canning pot size) & fill 1/2 with water.
Fifth: bring to a boil & deposit head & cover it with water and cook for 2-3 hours.
Sixth: let pot cool to room temperature scoop out the meat and deposit in a pot.
Seventh: add liquid or powdered gelatin to meat mixture add mint for flavor.
Eighth: line a large glass bowl with cheese cloth & pour in the meat mixture.
Ninth: tie the meat in the cheese cloth into a ball and refrigerate over night.

Make sure the pigs head is fresh. Check to see if the blood is dried or still wet.
If the head is cold to the touch the idiots probably bought it at a store.
Removing a pigs head is hard work, requires skill and sometimes a meat saw.
Wear surgical gloves when handling raw pork…the pig could have been feral just like the people who left it there.

Note:
If the head has a rank odor then bury it and plant a fruit tree on top of it.

Great recipe for head cheese. That is just the way my mother used to make it (almost, I don’t remember the toothbrush). If we are going to kill animals then nothing should be wasted.
How did an animal with such delicious meat and loved all over the world become a symbol for police?

There is something weird both about this press release and why it is here at all. Santa Rosa is not local. At least it has never been the subject of other news articles here. So why this now?

Then the police report indicates that “the victim was falsely targeted.” They probably meant to say mistakenly targeted but using the word “falsely” does raise the idea that, in minds of the police, if the targeted individual had lived there, then the vandalism would have been more acceptable. There is no- as in zero, nada- justification of attacking any witness’s house no matter what . These folks made a mistake but it would would have been worse had it not been a mistake. Yet no public official dares to make that clear anymore lest they run afoul of power of public outrage as hammered home by the press. No one is allowed to be offended by brutality if the publicly favored offer it even if it is the same sort of act that would be roundly condemned if done by the unfavored and is the same sort of act that creates lack of favor in the first place.

When has vigilantism become so confused with protesting that every two bit moron feels that their own opinions entitles them to intimidate, destroy and act out at will. This is exactly the same twisting of principles as the throwing paint on that Black Lives Matter” sign in Laytonville that has ended up being reported here a couple of times. That, if the minds of the villains the cause is righteous, the violence is justified. Or in old fashioned words, the ends justify the means. Which is always a moral swamp in which all equally sink into the muck no matter how self righteous they are. People can’t call themselves good if they are doing bad things.

When you say killer “cops”, you mean police officers who deal with low life criminals who bring it on themselves? And then blame the police. Obey the law! If you think police officers are the problem, then join the force where you live and let’s see how you handle these intense situations.

Exactly. The end result is they actually strengthen the political aspirations and forces of those who disagree with them . The far right is their political anathema which is seeming to grow as more cities see never ending protests accompanied by vandalism. These vigilantes are feeding the fire that wishes to consume them. It is sheer lunacy and It will inevitably tear this nation apart.

Santa Rosa Police Chief Rainer Navarro issued a statement on April 13th following Mr. Brodd’s testimony during the Derek Chauvin trial, and stated, “Mr. Brodd’s comments do not reflect the values and beliefs of the Santa Rosa Police Department.”

It’s is not the job of the Santa Rosa police department to publicly agree or disagree with testimony provided at a court hearing

I agree. Further, these chiefs that are wringing their hands and publicly distancing their departments from events are doing themselves and their agencies no favors. The angry hordes don’t care because they are going to be pissed and riot no matter what anyone says or does; and department morale and any respect you’ve curried with “normal law abiding citizens” goes out the window.

Here’s Broody’s testimony, FYI. Nothing inflammatory there. He’s a use of force expert and has an expert opinion on the events. It’s to the jury to decide which side’s “expert” is more credible / believable.

Agreed. . Personally I approve of the prosecution of Chauvin for Floyd’s death. However, not all of their “ martyrs” are true victims. Michael Brown is an example. I read EVERY word of the US Justice Depts. report of investigation on his shooting. The same Dept led by Eric Holder and then Loretta Lynch both of whom are black themselves. Actual eye witnesses who were black reported Brown was the aggressor and presented a true danger to them and the police officer. It was throughly investigated and the report was extremely detailed. In the end it was determined by the Justice Dept to be a clearly justified shooting. Yet social justice warriors and to some extent the media keep propping him up as a victim of excessive force by the police.

One of the complaints of the protesters had had to do with Michael Brown having to walk in the middle of the street that day. Turns out the town had Jaywalking laws, but in that part of town (where lots of black folks lived) sidewalks were rare, or outright didn’t exist on most streets. A prime example of purposeful Systemic Racism: jaywalking tickets for blacks on streets with no sidewalks. An easy excuse to act like a Redcoat enforcing the Stamp Act. And while that street had a brand new sidewalk by the time of the anniversary of that event, I wonder how many other sidewalk-less places are like that.

Almira

Yet intertwined in there was the robbery of tobacco products and the assault of a store owner who tried to stop the robbery. Had Brown been targeted strictly for jaywalking , I would agree with you 100% but he was stopped due to the report of a robbery . However the issue you addressed with jaywalking while no side walks exist is valid and I agree that is a law that subjects residents of poorer neighborhoods to unequal treatment under the law. Issues such as this should be exposed and dealt with giving equal access to all.

My mistake, Almira,

She was 73 yrs old.

She was not EIGHTY yrs. old.

She weighed EIGHTY lbs.!

EIGHTY lbs.!

She had dementia.

Over $13.88 in merchandise which was returned prior to police contact she apparently forgot to pay for.

She was already cuffed when her shoulder was allegedly dislocated and her arm broken.

The police allegedly did not seek medical help for her for six hours, according to ‘Newsweek’.

And,

Karen Garner was charged with theft, resisting arrest, and obstructing a peace officer.

Prosecutors requested the charges be dropped in court.

She “appears to be incapable of understanding her surroundings or her actions,”
they wrote in a motion.

She apparently clutched wild flowers during the arrest.
She was hogtied.

Officer Hopp can be heard making a comment about how easy it was to detain her with force due to her weight and height, yet charged her with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.

The body cam video is pretty disturbing.

He is seen really doing a number on her arm behind her back. It’s inexcusable.

4CBS Denver
By Dillon Thomas
4/15/2021

The officer was put on leave, that’s it.

The woman’s alleged offense occurred on June 26,
2020.

Just google 73 yr old woman has arm dislocated.

By the Loveland Police, no less.

Choose from;

‘The Hill’,
‘Law&Crime’,
‘Daily News’,
‘NBC NEWS’,
‘Fox Eight’,
‘INDEPENDENT’,
‘Raw Story’,
‘Newsweek’,
‘The Denver Post’,
etc., etc., etc.

From 1 to 3 days ago.

Justify that, folks, if you dare.

Chicken boning a 73 yr old eighty pound woman with dementia?

Don’t forget, Hopp had assistance, by a female officer, Officer Jalali.

It was two on one.

Apparently,
“Throughout the encounter”, with Karen Garner,
Hopp managed to “maintain a calm tone”, “though breathing heavily at times.”
” Garner is only 80 lbs.”

That’s some gang shit there.

Why didn’t Officer Hopp just let OfficerJalali handle her?

Makes no sense.

My thoughts exactly. The man wasn’t providing personal opinions while claiming to represent the Santa Rosa police department. H was providing expert testimony under oath at a trial two thousand miles away.

What possible purpose could the Santa Rosa police chief’s groveling, obsequious statement have served? It’s certainly not going to prevent the thugs from burning his station when they decide it’s his time.

Not a single liberal here condemning this action. Not a single liberal here condemning the unequal justice of the “insurrectionists” still sitting in jail four months later while Antifa and BLM rioters were set free and out rioting again. While the right condemns the “insurrectionists”, the left, in typical Orwellian fashion, calls their rioters “protesters” and DEMANDS you do the same. The vice president calls for their release and the left will cheer when the “insurrectionists” get disproportionate jail sentences.

Perhaps those of you who consistently make articulate arguments to no avail can see why I hardly bother. They are at war with you while you’re trying to be rational and polite. I think what we are witnessing in America right now is as good as it gets. Look at the tent cities everywhere. Look at the left rioting. Look at their naked attempt to seize power right now. Look at their collusion with the corporations they pretend to detest while they not only turn a blind eye to outright censorship, they advocate it! Look at the ever-embarrassing, so called media and their denial of its left wing bias. Expose them and get censored like Project Veritas! Look at the third world pouring over the border in droves while they say nothing. We can’t pay for this. We are devolving into tyranny. A tsunami of inflation is coming that the left will inevitably blame on capitalism. Price controls will be tried…..again….and fail….again. Demonizing white people and dividing the country by race, destroying our history, and yes culture, denouncing the longest living constitution on earth whose set of rules grew this into the most prosperous place that ever existed on earth is strictly a proposition of the left. When this ends, as it ultimately will, in bloodshed. You will know who to blame.

I happen to be a Democrat. I changed political parties due to President Trump but that’s a whole other issue to discuss. I loudly declare my disagreement and disapproval of these continued and often violent protests. I support the right to peacefully protest but condemn those that are associated with looting, violence or threats of violence. Though I support BLM in theory , I disagree with and condemn the actions arising from their not so peaceful actions during protests. We as a nation need to take a long hard look at ourselves and root out racism when we find it . Without the reverse racism we are now being subjected to , in the fashion of blaming the white race as a whole for the problem. I read a research article a couple of years ago . It stated historical perspective has shown all nations with diverse populations cannot survive in peace. One race or another continuously battles for superiority. I’m hoping that research is totally incorrect and false or else our nation won’t survive this polarization . I’m 64 years old and have never seen our nation so divided or felt so threatened and maligned solely due to my white skin. It’s now fashionable to condemn all things white by Public Officials , social justice warriors and the media . Which is aggressively endorsing white shame.

My perception is obviously different than those of another race. To say my perception is not true while yours is , would be the exact same thing as telling a black person their perceptions are false. So let’s have a little discussion. Let’s agree to remain polite but honest with each other. I can take polite criticism of my views and expect you to do the same. Discussions such as this are needed and must happen for this nation to move forward and unite in common cause. I would remind you that Biden has been president for several months. The polarization that has become so acute is a product of 4 years of reckless talk, ignorance and compulsive lying. The man started his downhill run talking about Mexican rapists and lauding torch carrying neo nazis as “good people”. When he called the free press “the enemy of the people” and any reporting that cast a critical light on him as “fake news” he entered the world of petty tyrants. We are very lucky we were able to dislodge this cancer before he did anymore damage. It will take a long time to heal this tragic episode.

Agreed. I considered myself a moderate Republican since I started voting . Trump and those who agreed with him or apologized for him convinced me that my views did not align with them. I voted for Biden and donated to his campaign. Though I disagree with many policies and plans of the Democratic Party, I simply cannot support the present Republican Party at all. There were many like me who walked away and changed our Party affiliation and support. Trump spewed constant and sheer toxin these last four years . He’s also a MORON. Apparently that toxin is embraced in full by the Republican Party now. The Republicans now also publicly embrace Qanon and racists. There are some of us who still hold views such as support of border control who aren’t filled with that same toxin . We will vote Democratic as long as it takes to remove those who support and embrace it. Though I highly doubt the Republican Party can be saved from itself . I look for an eventual third party to rise to destroy and replace the party of Q.
