County to Receive Nearly 7,500 Vaccine Doses Next Week

Covid-19 vaccinePress release from the County of Humboldt Joint Information Center:

Humboldt County will receive 7,440 doses of COVID-19 vaccine for next week, including 3,600 Moderna and 3,840 of Pfizer. There will be first- and second-dose clinics available for both. There will be no Johnson and Johnson due to the pause which is expected to continue into next week. Additional clinic schedules will be announced Monday or Tuesday.

Walk-in Vaccination Appointments Available Today and Sunday

Humboldt County Public Health and its health care partners are announcing walk-in vaccination clinic hours from 4 to 7 p.m. today and Sunday, April 18, at the Arcata Community Center located at 321 Dr. M.L.K., Jr. Pkwy. in Arcata. Those interested can register onsite to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

Please note that openings are first-come, first-served, and vaccine supply could run out. Those 16 and older can receive only the Pfizer vaccine and must have proof of age and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Appointments for other Pfizer clinics are available this weekend through MyTurn.ca.gov, and all county residents age 16 and older can register.

9 New Cases Reported Today

Nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Humboldt County today. One previously reported case was determined to be from another county and was removed. That brings the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus to 3,587.

10 Local ‘Breakthrough’ Cases Reported

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported this week approximately 5,800 of the nearly 77 million individuals in the United States have contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated in what are being called “breakthrough” cases. Humboldt County Public Health today reported 10 local residents have contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated, with cases dating back to January 2021.

The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines have been shown to be at least 94% effective at preventing severe disease and death. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine is just over 66% effective. These breakthrough cases are to be expected, health officials say, and are a reminder to continue using prevention measures such as wearing a mask and distancing.

For more information about breakthrough cases, visit cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html.

Think for yourself;
Question authority.

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening,
terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in
this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the
religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and
learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;
chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.

Think for yourself.
Question authority.

Talked to friend who just semi retired from Germany.

He thinks his old friend In Wisconsin, a medical researcher, could somehow explain the difference between safe and effective and immune from liability.

I tried, in vain, to explain that whatever he thought about the covid Vaccine, it wasn’t the same as a typical FDA approved vaccine.

How easy the phrase “conspiracy theories” comes out of ignorant people’s mouths.

He’s from Germany , no less, the home of unethical human experimentation WRIT LARGE…

I simply asked if he thought 6 million dead Jews was so soon forgotten, when it came to the evil intelligence this world has to offer.

This scientific controllers of the world will kill millions of people with the largest Milgram experiment yet.

Conspiracy theories are the playgrounds for weak minded losers trying to explain why their lives are so crappy. From what I’ve seen here they are an angry bunch living in a joyless world. But hey whatever makes you feel like you know more than the rest of us. Hope that brings you some sense of satisfaction but somehow I doubt it.

Living in times where over 560,000 Americans, at least have been died from this virus. There is no doubt we’ve been lied too. The important thing is to discern the who and the why. To seek and know the truth is crucial to maintain sanity both personally and as a nation. During the Black Plague neither the self flagellators nor the witch burners were hitting the mark, so too today. Regardless of opinion, we will mourn the dead and carry on for a better tomorrow.

We must disconnect from the hive mind as realized by others if we are to begin the true journey of self actualization.

Sometimes I feel the people who are homeless by choice are the closest thing to that which you speak to.

I think that concept needs to be talked about more, and maybe this reset will help a large number of people find ways to reject the system effectively and be able to use that to allow others to follow in their footsteps.

The path forward is the biggest challenge we face.

We must learn to live the old fashioned way.

Even though the vaccine is not perfect, it appears to be the best tool we have.

Influences from one or another sources, seem to be constantly presented in media, from minute to minute.

The facts remain: Nobody knew what to do! Conflicting information was shown as fact! Government-paid “experts” were shunted into the role of “Public Authority”, when they were not properly prepared…

Many parts of the hastily-assembled “anti-COVID” machine were weak, non-functional, or incompetent…

Some of the County Health Officers resigned, likely due to the stress, chaos and the lack of a cohesive plan.

Donald Trump saw COVID as a political tool, and used the incidence of the disease to further split the population, to disperse confusion and to upset everyone, apparently so that Trump would be seen as the savior!

These crazy times have caused many to attempt to further their points of view, whether political, religious, or just generally dissociative!

And then you get what we have above: A weakly conceived message couched in vague language, random terms, incomplete thought:

Is he trying to influence you? Does he have an agenda? What is this person saying, and why post his message at all? Can anyone tell?

When it comes to your personal health, you need to be your own advocate! You are responsible for consuming care, for preventing disease, for furthering your own health!

There are many messages, some to incorporate into your plan, and far more to completely ignore!

Our government was incredibly unprepared to administer a serious and complicated infectious disease! Similarly, our healthcare systems are massively in disarray, undersupplied, poorly equipped, underfunded, inadequately staffed, and, the focus of the healthcare systems is on profits, and not caring for patients!

The wrong people are in office, the wrong people have been elected everywhere, healthcare is totally mismanaged, and the focus of government is to cover-up government’s own shortcomings…

Government is supposed to serve us, but it is centric upon serving itself only! We have been handed a huge wad of lies, and a big pile of money, in an attempt to make us pay attention to the wrong things!

Meanwhile, people are trying to get you to reject the vaccine, for whatever reason, and, they are attempting to replace authority with “crazy-thinking”…

If you read this blog, read these comments, remember:

Make your own decisions. Get the vaccine if you desire it. Don’t let others make up your mind!

Stupid choices exist, like wearing a mask forever! Using “hand sanitizer”… Spreading fear and chaos!

Use a systematic sensibility! We are trying to resume normal life, but there is no consistent plan!

We have drugs to treat many disorders, but we have no cure for social instability!

Our governments are doing what they apparently are able to do, to the sharp limit of their inabilities! We have to take over, as far as promoting a return to normalcy!

Namaste! Be safe, be well!

“Stupid choices exist, like wearing a mask forever! Using “hand sanitizer”… Spreading fear and chaos”

Stupid choices exist, like getting a vaccine and still wearing a mask forever because the shit doesn’t actually work.

Spreading fear, like shutting down the world over a virus that doesn’t affect most people, and telling people their grandma will die if they walk their dogs.

Let’s not forget this virus somehow coincidentally jumped from animals to humans a couple blocks away from a lab where gain of function studies were being performed on the same exact virus.

Ok then. Enjoy your placebo shots. I hope you all feel safe enough to inhale oxygen again. Have a nice day.

That’s trolling? Uh, I think we have a different idea of what “trolling” is. I can’t poke fun at a ridiculous statement by repeating it back to the poster as if it was their position? Or do I have to frame it in generalities like “liberals” believe in xyz… Cause I don’t believe all liberals are like that. Just one. Who I addressed it to.

And brian’s comment below stating this comment section is a “trollfest” does not? That seems entirely provacative and without an honest intent to discuss ideas. I’m ok with following the rules, as long as they are applied equally. I, as well as others on this forum have observed and attempted to illustrate unequal treatment toward different posters and their opinions. It’s your place, but it seems hypocritical to me. Thanks for actually explaining your position. Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine.

Remember last week when I told rollin that I thought that was counter productive to label all liberals “insert insult here?” I don’t agree with your standards on commenting, but I try to follow your rules. I don’t believe I broke any of your rules. Rules are meant to be challenged. That’s how we discern what is actually acceptable and what is not. Vague statements such as “you’re pushing the limits” do not define what is or is not acceptable by a clear threshold.

“Trollfest” is a collective insult.

You can’t insult another commenter.

That is clear.

But it’s ok to insult each and every very one at once?

As long as one includes oneself?

If I said it was a “trollfest”, that would make me a troll, too, would it not?

That’s what I thought.

I rest my case.

It’s not that I don’t like your rules, actually I do.

The line is clear and it’s a fine one.

What surprises me is how much of a grey area it leaves.

The trollfest comment didn’t really bother me.

I did, however recognize it’s intent.

And it’s hypocrisy.

It was to elicit a response.

And it’s irony.

Really, it was the last clue I needed to
determine with certainty
a certain commenter’s motives.

He self identified.

I hope I contribute something useful from time to time.

I do try to provide useful information at times.

Sometimes I find myself in defense of others.
(As in this case, Frees objections had what I saw as merit.)

Sometimes I try to be funny.

(Pointe is a ballet term for dancing around on ones tip toes, Free, no offense, just a pun, and my lame sense of humor)

Sometimes I am overly analytical.

Unfortunately that comes off as argumentative to some.

I’m good with your rules, Kym.

I don’t recall ever saying I wasn’t.

Sometimes, a particular comment might seem to straddle the line.
But, invariably,
I agree with your verdict.

Just because I may have a question does not mean I don’t like your rules.

I can appreciate the difficulty
Involved in enforcing them.

As I’ve stated before, I am often misunderstood.

It’s just that some commenters are better at crowding the line you draw than others.

And then some really lean over it to test it.

Your comment in no way enraged me TRB, it barely engaged me.

But I liken it, as an analogy, to a comment such as:

“Freakshow”, suggestive that many commenters are freaks, hypothetically, of course, including the
hypothetical commenter.

It’s specifically unspecific, or well, unspecifically, specific.

It’s much different than saying for example;

Republicans, are dumb,
or that Democrats are dumb.

Again, I don’t have a problem with your rules, Kym.

Just my observations of the subtleties of the comments you have to judge.

Why you would assume I don’t like your rules I don’t understand.

Actually what I don’t like is when commenters straddle the line.

I might approach it at times, maybe even push it a little, but I would never straddle it or cross it intentionally

No just way way too much stress. People and plants aren’t that much different. We have created a society with way too much environmental stress. You can see it. People, just like plants that are way too stressed, are hermin out left and right. Just like a room that’s too hot or too cold or has an inconsistent light schedule, you start finding those bananas and pollen sacs on the bottom of your flowers. Our society has become the same way, full stress mode, transgenderism is now everywhere. The effects of the problem is obvious, we must reduce the stress in our room otherwise the next step beyond herms is mass crop loss.

Oh awesome!!

More of the literally useless and perilous to your health jabola is coming. Whoo hoo!

Cases are up in USA 11% even with mass vax efforts and there’s a huge surge in India where they have documented 800 variants. Yay!
https://youtu.be/SfpdjnE3j34

People try to warn you. Few listen. Maybe as the reality that these jabs have only SHORT TERM efficacy, and dangerous LONG TERM risks sinks in more will open their stubborn ears and eyes .

Primitive Pete: the guy in the automotive instruction videos, using a drywall spackling tool for removing screws, and drywall mud to fill his dents ….that’s the vax pushers!!

Think about the human dna inside our bodies and how fearfully and wonderfully it is made.

Each human cell has around 6 feet of DNA. Let’s say each human has around 10 trillion cells (this is actually a low ball estimate). This would mean that each person has around 60 trillion feet or around 10 billion miles of DNA inside of them.

All it takes is mutation of a single molecule to result in drastic changes. Research genetic deformities a minimal twerk results in horrifying disabilities.

RE-Programming IE: overwriting the existing instructions to our dna/RNA within us seems excessive for a fucking virus. A virus mutating much faster than the labs can keep up with. Ridiculous .

mRNA vaccine research has been fraught with problems and were abandoned many times because of the risks/deaths/poor outcome in animal subjects. Human anatomy and response is much more complex. https://www.statnews.com/2017/01/10/moderna-trouble-mrna/

Quote “But mRNA is a tricky technology. Several major pharmaceutical companies have tried and abandoned the idea, struggling to get mRNA into cells without triggering nasty side effects.”

You accept the jab, you accept that you are part of an experiment. These ARE NOT vaccines by definition. Look it up.

I’ve bored myself to death trying to remind people even Pasteur concluded in the end , “its not the germ (or virus,) it’s the terrain.”

Fortify yourself, oh, which actually means abstaining lol . Shut your frikn pie hole –especially if you come down with something ffs. Ever heard of starve a fever? Theres a reason that works.

But bacon. . .

Troll

A troll is a being in Scandinavian folklore, including Norse mythology. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings

Wikipedia

So I guess that’s somehow not an insult?
Or perhaps it’s just because of who’s saying it.

Oh well. it’s better than hiding in safe spaces.
I prefer reality to folklore and mythology.

A gentle reminder…(see Rule #1):

Rule #2:

“Insulting other commenters will get you deleted. Do it too often and it will get you banned.”

Be right back…
I need more research…

Ok I’m back.

I couldn’t find in the rules where it was OK to call collective groups of people, (in this case commenters), stupid.

Or to otherwise insult them.

Insulting collective commenters would seem to be covered in Rule #2.

I did pick up along the way that dissing government agencies, political groups, southpaws, the dead, etc. is acceptable.

You just can’t single out a commenter with an insult.

For example:

The comment, Guests suck, would be
O.K.

However,

The comment, Guest sucks, would not be O.K.

But I digress…

The vaccine sucks.

Vaccines suck.

Covid19 sucks.

So I landed on a green dot – was it in Romania?, jeez that thing is fun – I heard a man’s voice speaking English in the kindest, most caring tone I have heard since my minister godfather passed away. “You *don’t have* to be the first person to take the vaccine”, the kind voice intoned, and you knew the man speaking had angelic powers, “we understand that you’re unsure”, the warmth of this voice made me feel I was a child in my father’s arms. “And *you* understand how much your little girl is missing her soccer practice”…the kindly, gentle voice droned on, loving, reassuring as a glass of warm milk, the guilt tripping neatly blended into the reassurance and love. “We’ll help you get there”. The end. And the sponsor? “A message from” some vaccination promo team in – get this – California. They said it. Playing in Romania. Most frightening thing I think I’ve heard on the radio in my entire life. What is upon us?

When you listen online you don’t always hear the same advertisements as they play over the air.

Are you familiar with this app, Stars? It’s so cool. The green dots are radio stations all over the world, the larger dots are more powerful stations, usually in larger towns and cities. For some reason I always open in Croatia, that’s where mine seems to always start. Great way to learn geography. Use the + or – to zoom in and out, you can even close in on towns. Your mouse or touchpad to scroll, the cursor moves you around the earth. Live, not recorded. Just picked up KMUD quite nicely. Surprising and fun stuff – Motown in the Isles of Scilly, Led Zeppelin in Afghanistan, progressive jazz in Brussels. Enjoy! http://radio.garden/visit/redway-ca/Ce6gI1oI

Thanks Guest. I’ll check it out. I usually listen to sports radio from back home. I get a mix of ads (some from the station’s market area and some that clearly target me by location).

They are simply saying the same things they’ve said for years, only before they were selling you products that appealed to something kindred inside of you.

Now it’s straight up medical tyranny.

There is absolutely zero logical reason to take the vaccine.

If you want to “not make grandma sick” it won’t help that problem.

Just watch his posts for about two weeks. It will be more than obvious why some have a problem with his personality.

I tend to deal in evidence based rationales and I don’t subscribe to theories of any sort.

I also tend to point out trolling more than others seem to care to acknowledge.

I’ve not changed my name in years and I will debate until the keyboard breaks, if it’s worth it, which I find is rarely ever the case anymore….

Sometimes I can be an arse, in my own opinion, though lately, I seem to be keeping it pretty damn cool.

Pleasure to explain it from my perspective.

I’m tickled pink to think how some people will think of how to respond to your question.😋

What is your definition of trolling?; As a millennial I find trolling to be not very common in here but I just started commenting myself so I guess we’ll see

It has been documented here that a few trolls use more than one name in order to make it appear that OTHER commentors agree with their craziness.

Trolling is normally defined as commentors who post inflammatory rhetoric that is more divisive than anything, on purpose, in order to enrage or frustrate others, and with no intention of reasonable debate.

The trolling here can get into spreading misinformation more than not.

Much of the trolling depends on the news. Kym Kemp carries news of local fires, for a few years it became a troll haven to spread Agenda 21 conspiracy theories similar to, ” The Government is starting these fires on purpose with laser planes.”

The Covid pandemic has given new rise to the anti-vaxxers of the area, and beyond.

The anti-vax campaign is trolling in general, as they have ZERO facts on their side and don’t tend to realize it, so they KEEP posting misinformation thinking it means something.

The anti-vax campaigners rely on discredited fraudulent ‘experts’ whose only ability to reach the public is poorly created YouTube’s.

Repeated promotion of completely discredited goofballs like Mercola, Tenpenny or Mikovitz is a good sign of a troll.

It’s similar to spamming, but with a personal based touch.

So if someone is against vaccines for themselves they are a troll?? Are all people who are against getting a vaccine for themselves or their children a troll? I’m just a little confused… Do you really trust your government that much? They are lied in the past… In fact I can think of one regime that lied and then killed millions of jewish people based on those lies… I think that a troll is not necessarily someone who believes “conspiracy theories” but that seems to be what you think. Carry on either way I just wouldn’t get so upset that there are other people who feel differently and believe differently than yourself… With 7 billion people in the world, even the 1 million pepe that may look at this website during the course of a year, there is no way anyone will.know who is right or wrong. Only time can tell that, not you or me.. plus, it’s a comments section.. mainstream media tells me plenty that I look at as “disinformation” or whatever .. so why get so hung up on comments.people make?? The internet is not the end all be all of opinions anyway. And maybe, just maybe, you live in a place where a large portion of people, and even people commenting, are not living or believing or going along with mainstream thinking.. where do you get your news? Because I’m willing to bet my left eye it is from sources that are bought and paid for.. either way, despite vaccines up unt.niw definitely having proven effects at keeping diseases at bay, there are still people that choose to not get them or give them to their children and that is there choice. Their “right” so to speak.. anyone or any government or any society that tells you what you can and cannot put do to your own body is not a free one by any means and I would caution your thinking trails because they lead down a path of controlling others, or at least wanting and trying to.. try to get to know other people’s opinions and see what their motivation is.. if they just call you names, then maybe they are all trolls.. but if we can have discourse then that is a path to freedom, no?

“The anti-vax campaign is trolling ”

So there is his definition of a troll.
In other words if you don’t agree with him you’re a troll.

Therefor when you get an exchange of ideas going on this thread, TRB will throw out his troll roll to misdirect and insult the people having that conversation.
The point seems to be to stop the exchange of ideas and references and change the focus to himself. Especially if he feels outnumbered. The objective is to control who speaks and what they can say. Also to get certain links dis-allowed.

” The anti-vax campaigners rely on discredited fraudulent ‘experts’ whose only ability to reach the public is poorly created YouTube’s.”

Many references are not from YouTube at all. And how does one person get to decide for everyone who exactly is discredited?

Then comes the complaints to Kym to have those people removed or moderated as trolls.

So far it seems to be an effective tactic.
Hopefully I can say this without breaking any rules.
If he can call us trolls we should be able to refute his accusations.

“I tend to deal in evidence based rationales and I don’t subscribe to theories of any sort.”

I’ll make sure I routinely point out your “evidence-based rational” next time you spout one of your theories.

Which, by the way, believing that multiple handles are the some person is certainly “subscribing in”.

Duh.

Big pharma collusion, fakery, and hugea$$ PAYDAY$ is all this is about.

“The US government would pay the companies US ****$1.95 billion ***** for these initial doses ”

Before efficacy or safety was established all this happened :

March 2020, BioNTech and Pfizer agreed to co-develop and distribute a potential mRNA-based vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 [17]. Under the collaboration terms, BioNTech would receive an upfront payment from Pfizer and be eligible to also receive future milestone payments [18]. Development costs would be shared equally between the two companies. BioNTech and its partners were to provide the vaccine candidates for clinical trials from its European GMP-certified mRNA manufacturing facilities. Together, BioNTech and Pfizer will commercialize the approved vaccine worldwide (excluding China) and scale-up manufacturing capacity for global supply [18]. This collaboration built upon their 2018 agreement to co-develop mRNA-based vaccines for influenza [17]. In July 2020, Pfizer and BioNTech announced an agreement with the US government to provide the USA with 100 million doses of BNT162 upon regulatory approval or EUA [19]. The US government would pay the companies US $1.95 billion for these initial doses and would be able to acquire up to 500 million additional doses [19]. As of November 2020, BioNTech and Pfizer have announced commercial supply agreements for 2020 and 2021 with numerous countries, including Canada, Japan, the UK, the USA and those of the EU (subject to clinical success and regulatory approval of the vaccine) [20]. These total more than 570 million doses, including options to purchase an additional 600 million doses [20]. BioNTech and Pfizer expect to manufacture approximately two billion doses in 2021, based on supply projections [21].

Yes, here it comes, your pale horse is arriving. Oh, and btw, News Flash: Bill Gates has announced that he wants to “dim the sun” and “cool the earth” by means of what sounds exactly like the chem-trails that conspiracy theorists have been going on about for decades. They must be having a field day. Sounds like science fiction but I’m afraid it’s real, and he has initiated the project with his billions, through Harvard. Can people actually not truly understand that this man is evil, he is a lunatic, a raving megalomaniac who has decided that he can play God with the world and humankind? And he must be stopped. Meanwhile – the program is humming along and the vaccines will do their work. Look into the videos of Dr. Dolores Cahill, Professor of Molecular Genetics at Dublin University. And be prepared for some changes in your health over the next year, if you’ve gone along with the program. God help us. Oh, God help us.
