Father Sentenced to 22 Years in Prison for ‘Continuous Sexual Abuse’ of His Daughter
Press release from the Humboldt County District Attorney:
District Attorney Maggie Fleming announced that today Jonathan Eisenhard Marcks, 36, of Arcata, was sentenced to 22 years in state prison after Marcks
[pled]guilty to continuous sexual abuse of a child and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.On July 6, 2019, in an interview with the Humboldt County Child Abuse Services Team, 11-year-old Jane Doe disclosed that she had been sexually abused by her father over several years. A subsequent investigation led by Arcata Police Detective Victoria Johnson yielded a recorded phone call that included self-incriminating statements by Marcks and physical evidence at Marcks’ residence.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm prosecuted the case with the assistance of District Attorney Victim Witness Advocate Caitlyn LaHaie and District Attorney Investigator Ryan Hill. The California Department of Justice provided analysis of physical evidence.

Give him the death penalty!!! Scum of the earth !!!! I hope karma gets him. So sad for the girl involved, imagine if thats your child hood. And that’s your memories, not of happiness but of the sick things that scum ball did. No little girl should have to go through that . So sad for her it’s painful. There’s no punishment that’s bad enough for him that’s legal . The crime you commit should be committed against you then that’s fair .
I recommend Castration, either Chemically or Physically, it’s what he deserves!!!

Outstanding would be if this piece of shit got the punishment he deserves! Or at least life in prison. I can only hope he dies a miserable death in prison.
22 years for child molesters usually is life in prison because inmates do not like them. It actually is usually the death penalty.
You may think that is true, but is it? Here’s what I think is more likely:
Because he would be targeted by the inmates who aren’t pedophiles, he will be housed in a special unit with others like himself. There he will spend his days watching things like child beauty pageants and “Cuties” on TV. He and his new buddies will dwell on their sick fantasies and share tales of their disgusting acts. He will be a “model inmate” and will be released before serving even half of his sentence. He will be paroled and will start looking for a vulnerable woman with young children who will become his next victims.
Hopefully someone in prison will, “take care,” of this guy. After that, may he rot in hell!

Try focusing on the good for a while. Volunteer! perhaps. Maybe you will see the other side of things.
This is the type of prison commitment one can just hope someone makes a “mistake” during classification and this scumbag gets put on the mainline. The sad truth is he will immediately be placed in protective custody with the snitches, rapists, gang dropouts & the rest of the child molesters. The real sad part is this isn’t considered a violent crime and he will be out in 11 years ready to ruin some other poor child’s life

Again wondering; where is the mug shot? Every petty criminal gets their mug here for the community to see; but we don’t get to see the child rapists. Which would actually be useful, if we are to be in charge of the safety of our children. I’m left to wonder, what is the policy of the DA, and why?
Maybe it’s for the child’s sake. It was her father and the girl needs to be unidentifiable.

Except if you look at his FB profile there are pictures of the poor girl… I’m wondering if police or DA can contact FB and have his account deactivated. Pedophiles aren’t actually allowed to have FB accounts so there shouldn’t be a problem…
I see no point in calling her Jane Doe when anyone can see/find her. Her privacy is definitely not being protected and my heart breaks for her and her family.

he has 2 facebook’s that are wide open. I don’t know why is says Arcata. He was living in McKinleyville and prior to that, Eureka and Russellville, AL.
He gers 22 years but she gets a life sentence of horrable memories. In a way he killed the person she was. Hopefully she can find peace and have a good life

A psychologically and emotionally sound (as well as a physically healthy) future should be ALL children’s foremost right — especially considering the very troubled world into which they never asked to enter.
Trauma from unhindered toxic child abuse/neglect typically results in the helpless child’s brain improperly developing. If allowed to continue for a prolonged period, it acts as his/her starting point into an adolescence and (in particular) an adulthood in which its brain uncontrollably releases potentially damaging levels of inflammation-promoting stress hormones and chemicals, even in non-stressful daily routines. In short, it can make every day an emotional/psychological ordeal, unless the mental turmoil is doused with some form of self-medicating.
I believe the wellbeing of all children — and not just what other parents’ dysfunctional children will cost us as future criminals or costly cases of government care, etcetera — should be of great importance to us all.
He deserves to rot! He ruined this kids life! But yet he’ll be protected in prison! That’s bs! Why? I hope they find out somehow and he gets just what he deserves!
