Eagle Prairie Bridge Area Sidewalks in Rio Dell to Get Upgrade, Says Caltrans

Sidewalk improvement

Information from the Facebook page of Caltrans District 1:

Residents and visitors of Rio Dell: Please be aware of our upcoming ADA improvements at the Eagle Prairie Bridge along Route 283 and Wildwood Avenue. We will be upgrading the sidewalks there to meet current standards.

Tentatively set to begin Monday, April 26, this project will require lane closures and some one-way traffic control during daylight hours (but the contractor will do their best to keep both lanes open as much as possible). Also, the sidewalk will need to be closed on one side at a time with pedestrian access permitted on the opposite side. We are aiming to complete the project sometime in June barring weather delays and unforeseen circumstances.

We look forward to improving pedestrian access for all at this location.

This is going to require an EIR, a review from a militant environmentalist group, a report from the family of Steve Irwin on the endangered frog that lives near this sidewalk, and a essay from feminist as to why building a new sidewalk is part of the patriarchy.

This is what it’s like if we treat every action like we treat someone growing cannabis.

Edit: I just got a phone call from someone named Morning Star Flower Child of the Forest and she (can i use that pronoun?) said that we can’t be using any type of water for concrete anymore because it’s racist towards ancient Egyptians and takes from the mouths of the indigenous Nicaraguans who now live in Los Angeles to whom we sell all of our water.

Why didn’t they do this work when the bridge was closed for upgrades a couple of years ago. Efficient government at work.

Good one.
You obviously have a skewed idea of how CALTRANS operates.

I think that is a total waste of money. Seems like Scotia and Rio Dell are slowly closing down. Not the same as it was years ago when I was a little boy.

Chuck, booming from what? Pot labs exploding in the day and night? Only time will tell if Rio Dell starts growing, pot included.
