The time is now, the vaccine clinics are finally open!

Respect goes out to the folks who are standing through a shift, to get everyone else vaccinated.

Be patient, be safe, be well.

Please provide chairs and/or stools for those who are standing through a shift.

If funds are short, maybe we can put the expenses under “infrastructure”.

They’ve been open VMG , where you been. All teenagers I’ve talked to laugh at getting a vaccine for a flu virus that won’t kill them. What a joke that is, step up and tell the younger generation why you really want them to get vaccinated. Because your afraid they might infect YOU. Pure selfish reasons, I’ll tell them like it is, they have a higher chance of winning the lotto, and you probably think that chance is good.

Japan has the fewest gun deaths per year in the world. Japan has some of the strictest gun laws in the world and experiences 100 or fewer gun deaths per year in a population of over 127 million and a gun death rate of .06 deaths per 100,000 people. For Japanese citizens to purchase a gun, they must attend an all-day class, pass a written exam, and complete a shooting range test, scoring at least 95% accuracy. Candidates will also receive a mental health evaluation, performed at a hospital, and will have a comprehensive background check done by the government. Only shotguns and rifles can be purchased. The class and exam must be retaken every three years.

Brazil has the highest number of gun deaths in the world, with a total of 43,200 out of the 250,000 worldwide – a gun death rate of 21.9 per 100,000 Brazilian citizens. The United States has the second-highest number of gun deaths with 37,200.

Remember what Trump said about Mexicans? It seems like Mexico could say the same about us.

How does Japan’s drug laws compare to Brazils, so many contributing factors in gun violence. Mexico has about same gun laws as Japan’s, they just decapitate each other.

Kinda. Plenty of guns (and beheadings) south of the border.

Big difference is in WHO has them. 😉

No one should look to Japan as a societal example for America. In fact they invented the aphorism “”The raised nail gets hammered down” (or “the nail that sticks out gets hammered down” or “the protruding nail gets hammered down”) .
They are racists and don’t think it’s wrong. Women in Japan had a prewar culture that treated them as virtual slaves-literally owned by the male members of their family, the American occupation created the first enfranchisement for women voting and only in the 1970s did women in general start making real noise about their status. There are barely any women in political leadership in Japan even today. They don’t need gun legislation to control their population. Their population control each other by sheer insistence on conformity.

I don’t think you’d be happy there. If they would let you in at all anyway. http://factsanddetails.com/japan/cat19/sub120/item642.html#:~:text=Conformity%20is%20a%20strong%20force%20in%20Japan.%20Japanese,feel%20they%20have%20to%20do%20the%20same%20thing.

In Japan, right now,a woman was posting a comment about women’s rights, with links to the US’s 14th amendment and the suffrage movement.

Then a man said, you can’t learn anything from Americans, look at their psychotic gun violence.

I bet they wished we were unarmed in the 40s. You take advise about violence from a country that bombed us. Kind of funny , I’m sure they love us Americans after we nuked them, got logic? There will always be resentment there, I don’t care who it is,especially when everyone has their own version.

Same answer as to why Japanese opinions would matter on American gun laws I suppose. Which one kills more people? Drugs or guns? Good luck stopping either one. Fentanyl off the hook here lately.

I found this article interesting.
https://townhall.com/columnists/dennisprager/2021/04/06/maskwearing-represents-fear-and-blind-obedience-not-science-n2587447

I think the author nailed it with:

“The problem is most Americans who went to college learned to unquestioningly obey “experts.” This is why common sense, logic and reason mean little to the well-educated — and, increasingly, to everyone else, because everyone is taught by the well-educated. All we need to know is what the “experts” say. That plus a fanatical adherence to the rule of AOC (abundance of caution) have crushed logic and reason.”

So, all you need is just some bankruptcy sort-of-expert, like trump, who uses no logic or reason, just populist rhetoric screamed at the highest decibels over and over, to sway the superior, yet, under educated multitude to do foolish things that sound logical and reasonable: Like invade the US Capitol to stop something that was never stolen; screw the environment we all live in for whatever shekels only the top bananas will make from it while leaving a rotting corpse behind; and just doing what you feel like doing today and screw tomorrow, because that will take care of itself. Logic, reason and common sense tells us that.

BTW, did you know that Dennis Prager heads up Prager University! Of course, it doesn’t teach anything that could be considered expertise in any field whatsoever, that would be heresy, but the tuition is up there on a par with trump U.

Also, BTW, many colleges teach logic and reason in basic philosophy courses. Philosophy is essentially the study of thoughts and ideas. Mathematics is a pure form of logic and reason as are most sciences. Only religion, like Pragerism, is left up to personal interpretation of ancient manuscripts in long dead languages found in desert caves.

You really don’t understand how the system works?

Tell me what’s so good about the education system you champion, and whether they are actually competitive in the market place., or if it’s simply day care for adults.

Problem is the cult of science is just as bad as the next cult.

Where is the logic in open borders, and runaway spending of this administration?

I like honest and truthful discusions.

A deep state sandwich

Q#1: Take a look at the classifieds in, say, the NCJ. You might notice a preponderance of needed skills for those jobs acquired through Higher Education and/or experience. In fairness I do see many on-site want ads, at MacDonald’s, Burger King and even a few grocery stores requiring no skill sets at all. But they all pay the same. /s

Q#2: In case you haven’t been paying attention, later today and tomorrow, the Mars Perseverance Mission will try out it’s Ingenuity helicopter for the first time. As far as I know none of this was accomplished by peeps having a GED but holding various degrees in Science, Engineering and other related specialties requiring… Higher Education!
Not even sure if the recently re-invented Space Force was involved.

Q#3: Open Borders is, agreed, a tough question which has NOT been answered by a $15 Billion Wall (so far) which only takes 45 seconds to climb over, or, a battery operated recip saw about 15 minutes to cut through. I might suggest that a more comprehensive evaluation of WHY the mostly young people in Central America are fleeing their countries of birth and family to come here and how those reasons can be remedied as a more lasting solution. But, I realize that to the poorly educated, that’s way too much brain exercise when bullets and a big wall sound like the more logical, if not, quicker response. Oh and let’s not forget the covid they are all definitely infested with as they sneak across the borders and mingle with the mask-less, freedom loving, anti-vaxxers of all those border states and beyond. Lot’s of logic in that.

Q#3 part duex: Runaway spending? I’m sure you were outraged when TFG got his 2017 tax cut for the wealthiest 1%ers, again, which added another 1.9 Trillion to the Nation’s Deficit, which does not include the economic hit that his Rather Go Golfing Then Deal With The Covid Response our economy took. That, BTW, was the 4th major tax cut Republicans added to the Deficit since Reagan.

FDR proved that spending, during and immediately after WWII actually built a robust economy out of a previous Depression that also featured… TaDa! The GI Bill, where former service men and women could pursue better jobs and careers with, are you ready for this?… Higher Education!

Do have as nice a day [edit]

THanks Rex,

You’ve shown me the benefits of

“STANDING DOWN”

In the face of higher taxes, fewer opportunities…

…And one of the worst educational and health care systems in the (first) world.

But tell me what does Bidens open sore policy do to limit drug, and human trafficking, instead of laying the foundation of the cartel and the Catholic charities working relationship.

Unchecked 3rd world tactics.

I absolutely agree with much of your sentiments, yet how many people can you afford to feed and house at your home?

Consolidation should be crime against humanity.

This country is too top heavy…

You agree?

Now what’s your view on the con trolled demolition of the US economy?

Class Warfare is a bitch.

(The scientific community needs more subjects).

And no, it’s an in your face state bioweapon sandwich.

The easiest way for us educated to get the answer to question 3 is to visit Mexico, Central America and South America, talk to the people, they make all us Americans look like 1 % ers, cause we are. Question 2, Mars is a waste of time, my uneducated arse can tell you that. As for the border wall, your in old Mexico, give it back to them says my ole uneducated arse . Peace out.

Except Biden is busy blaming Trump for the mass influx at the border because Trump’s policies created a “pent up demand”. In other words he pent up the floodb so much for not working. And, if you object to ” mask-less, freedom loving, anti-vaxxers of all those border states and beyond” as a liability to your desire for a well controlled population, what must you think of those freedom loving illegal immigrants crossing into the country already infected… Oh yeah, those anti vaxxers are going to get what they deserve, right?

And FYI, your comment comes across as incredulous, Luddite.

When something is experimental and you don’t yet have the answers.
When people don’t want you to ask questions or look at history.
When the industry has a history of lawsuits.
When 2 of the products have been paused for blood clots.
When huge profits are involved.
When the pushers have many statements of desire to lower the population on video.
When the same pushers have the power to censor the information you get.
When you are told to hide in your house wearing 2 masks while people with covid are invited to come and be dispersed across the country.
When huge egos are involved.

need more?
