Vehicle Fire on Alderpoint Road Near Hwy 36
A vehicle caught fire on the Alderpoint Road near the intersection with Hwy 36 about 9 p.m. “just past the church in a turnout,” a dispatcher relayed to emergency personnel over the scanner.
“The vehicle is fully engulfed,” said the first firefighter on the scene speaking over the scanner to the dispatcher about 9:10 p.m. He told her that it was close to the wildlands.

Any vehicle left “parked” (those pullouts are usually filled with dumped vehicles) out there for more than a couple days is likely to spontaneously combust…
Agreed 200% any vehicle left unattended for more than a couple of days ALWAYS seem to mysteriously go up in smoke!!!
Well, right now, there is a burned up old small pickup by Dockwiler road. Then there is an Audi like rig just as you turn up the road to go to Kettenpom, and another rig, a van, now turned on it’s side, and it was burned up. The Dockwiler pick up went quite a length of time , getting two HWY patrol tickets, before it burned. People thought it was a locals, and appeared to be a stoners rig. But eventually, the AP trolls couldn’t stand it, and they burned it. Under a tree. There have been several rigs burned, on the east end of AP bridge, including trailers and motor homes. Usually the trolls give you time, with warning such as shooting out windows, then tires, then they burn it. It is a process. One wonders if they couldn’t do a survey, of the different troll systems we have in place. The briceland road trolls, the AP trolls, Salmon creek trolls, ettersburg trolls, etc. Only one rule, it must have a HWY patrol ticket on it.
Wat kinda of viechael was it
Thank you for letting us know the circumstances.
Car fire on AP road?! Unheard of!!
The guy lived in bridgeville and got introuble for leaving his car behind then towed it up to his new rental and burned it so he didnt have to pay the fines for leaving it at his last rental.
Yep passed that vehicle several times in past week and my first thought was hope they don’t torch it. Scary that people have to resort to such destructive behavior that can turn deadly especially this time of year with the winds we have had. Glad it didn’t spread to wildland and thanks Bridgeville Fire for quick response.
Seems like a lot of people know who the guy is that left the car there to burn. Call the Sheriff’s Department and have him pay to remove the vehicle, and setting a fire next to brush lands. This guy needs to be punished, or he will continue to carry on with his garbage removal projects. Thank you Bridgeville Fire Department.
